3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 deyholla (3533) - Waukesha, USA - FEB 11, 2012
Sampled from the tap at the Milwaukee location. Pours a near clear gold with an orange hue and a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has a nice citrus note with some flora, bitterness and a hint of sweet grains. Flavor starts with citrus and flora but finishes with more of a bitter note of grapefruit.
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 screigh (347) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - JUN 3, 2012
Pours a hazy copper color. Nice white head that settles down and forms a thin sheet. Leaves behind some decent lacing. Aroma is weird and smells a bit like a container of fishing worms. Taste is earthy, dirty and hints of that earthworm container.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 heemer77 (4801) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - JUN 2, 2012
A slightly hazy copper and amber brew with a thin light khaki head. The nose has a fair amount of citrus and a little bit of pine. There is also some almond and caramel. The taste has lots of grapefruit citrus bursting out like crazy! Wow, one of the most citrus forward IPA’s I have ever tasted. The malt backbone is fairly dry which allows the citrus sweetness of the hops to shine through. There is also a nice toasted nut quality to the finish. This is an excellent citrus tasting IPA.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Vorlauf (3) - Wisconsin, USA - MAY 2, 2012 does not count
From tap into pint glass, poured with a medium carbonation a light amber colored beer with a deep off white head. Nose is funky citrus and flora with a hint of malt sweetness. The flavor starts with a good bitterness lending itself to a slight biscuit/malt sweetness that finishes with a long citrus bite. This is a well balanced English/American hybrid IPA.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Skyview (4880) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - APR 22, 2012
On draught at the Hinterland brewery/brewpub in downtown Green Bay, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-hazy orange amber colored brew with a decent off-white head that has excellent lacing and retention. Aroma of all four (citrus, grassy, floral and medicinal hops) varieties with a hint of caramel malt in the background. Taste is medium bodied, plenty of bitterness that hides most of the caramel malt base. Finish is more citrus and grapefruity with a lingering mild bitterness. A solid IPA throughout.

Bottle. Orange/caramel malt aroma. Amber color with minimal head. Sweet orange, bready malt and moderately bitter citrus peel flavor. Drinkable but pretty forgettable.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 DrSilverworm (1042) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 8, 2012
1 pint bottle. Mildly hazy amber / orange color. Little - to - minimal off-white head. Some lace. More crisp carbonation, and a dry texture. Nice light bitter taste. Kind of a crisp almost english-style malty - hop aroma. Decent, but as far as IPAs go... Not that great.

Had this one long ago, I remember it being a solid IPA but nothing amazing.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 nuplastikk (2615) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 21, 2012
Draft at Jacs. Filtered amber-orange. Thin off-white head. Pleasant. Soapy hop aroma, not so far from an APA. One dimensional soapy orange hops, but enough to be respectable. Quite malt centered still, could be sold as a quality hoppy amber. Standard offering, could use a little more depth.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Nephilium (955) - Ohio, USA - MAR 21, 2012
This opens with a big blast of piney hops, with a touch of roasted malts. Pours a clear orangish-amber, with a thin white head. This is an interesting beer, there’s pine and bitter notes to start with, and a strange sweetness in the middle, reminding me of honey. Long bitter finish, and a slightly slick mouthfeel with little noticeable carbonation. This is a solid IPA, and I’m glad it’s made it’s way into the area.
