On tap at Hinterland Milwaukee as Imperial IPA (not Whiteout!). Ruby red with a foamy beige crown that makes a lot of lace. Aroma of citrus, caramel, malt, woodsy hops and light alcohol. Taste of citrusy and woodsy hops, a touch of booze and a solid sweet malt backbone. Finishes up aggressively bitter with plenty of citrus. Tasty.

On draught at the Olde Fashioned Tavern in downtown Madison, Wisconsin as Hinterland Imperial IPA. Pours a semi-clear golden amber colored brew with a thick off-white head that slowly dissipates to a cream top and excellent lacing. Aroma of mostly citrus and grassy hops, a hint of bourbon, vanilla and golden grain malt, Taste is medium bodied, quite bitter and fruity character. Finish is semi-sweet with a vanilla, citrus and golden grain malt aftertaste.

On tap at the 2007 GTMW as Oak-aged Imperial I.P.A.: Pours a transparent dark golden amber bronze with a dense, frothy tan head. Rich complex aroma of sweet caramel and earthy toasty malt with a good fresh oaky character. Body starts fairly full and fresh caramely oaky sweet with nice fresh toasty malty balance toward a warming complex finish. Could hide the abv a little better, but still a fresh and caramely sweet oak aged IPA.

Aggressive hop and Bourbon aroma, head was minimal, taste was lip smacking hops ,carmel malts, and of course smooth and rich bourbon overtones, hop flavors were not as dominating in the flavor, bittering hops were more evident in the aftertaste, malts had just a touch of sugardaddy sweetness, alcohol was always present, but never harsh.body was just a touch on the undercarbonated side, but that can work for this style. not an easy style to pull off, but this succeds
