I’m drinking the nitro version of this right now. Nice dark appearance, but the beer is very sour. Not tasty at all.

Nitro draft at World of Beer (Land O Lakes). Pours a pitch black color with a creamy tan capped head. Aroma has nice chocolate roasted malt notes with an abundance of coffee. Flavor is rich and roasty with an emphasis on the coffee. A fair amount of bitterness in the finish.

Huge creamy creamy head that lasts. Slight fermentation sweet aroma...slightly putrid. Silky smooth palate. Tastes of charcoal, roasted malt, and fermented soybean. Decent brew minus the barf essence.

jebert (500) - Watertown, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 28, 2013
Pours an opaque black crowned by a huge head of tan foam. Lots of effervescence evident. Nose is of coffee and malt. Very creamy mouthfeel, the taste is full of coffee, dark roasted malt, dark caramel, very smooth and creamy with only a whisper of hops on the finish. A big bold stout with strong coffee undertones. Well paired with a corned beef or Rueben sandwich.

UPDATED: AUG 19, 2013 Black. Small tan head. Lot of lacing. Coffee aroma with malt, molasses and a bit of vanilla. Taste is a malty bite with a hint of coffee. Nice beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
