Nothing really great to say. Poured a dark brown with about a 2 finger head. Aroma hits you with maple, caramel and some metallic hints. Flavor is sweet caramel and malts followed by some bittering maple. The flavor is sharp, not really melded together well.

Dark mossy aroma, dubbel-esque. Clear dark root beer black-brown. Thin khaki head. Dry, woody, a little dark malt comes through. Earthy moss tones and some tannic acidity. Medium body, a little astringent. Didn’t like. Growler County.

Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - Betton - pint bottle. Deep, dark brown pour, thin, but persistent khaki colored head that clings to the edge of the glass. Aroma has a hint of maple sweetness, some dates and raisins, could be a bit bolder. Flavor is solidly bock-like, raisins, dates, a hint of chocolate, just a wee-bit of the advertised maple. Decently thick mouthfeel. Not bad, just nothing jumps out about it.

[Tap] Pours a very dark shade of brown with little head. Sweet aroma is mostly of molasses, but with hints of maple as well. Taste is of brown sugar, caramel, dough and lots of chalky/grainy dark malts. Syrupy character. The flavor profile seems a little disjointed between the chalky malts and syrupy maple, but it was OK.

Big malt aroma and flavor. It's bock fest where I'm at and this one is a welcome change of pace. Draught pour is ruby dark and the maple background is delightful.

Sour. Initially didn’t like to much but grew on me and thought it was ok. Not sweet like maple but tart.

Pours a very dark, rusty, coffee color. Light head that dissipates fairly quickly. Caramel, maple aroma. Flavors of coffee, caramel, maple.

Bottle. Pours a deep brown color with off white head. Maple syrup, cream, milky aromas. Roasty, maple syrupy, burnt, sweet flavors. Pretty sweet. Wouldn’t be bad for a fall or winter seasonal.

Bottle in KC, thanks to jcnielsen. Pours a hazy, dark reddish brown appearance with a light brown. Woody/sappy, thick caramel, syrupy, a touch fruity aroma. A bit thin, sort of herbal bitter, moderately sweet, burnt sugar, woody, chocolate flavor. Kind of interesting.

Sample at the Hills Market beer tasting on 05/30/2013: Dark reddish-brown color with a medium tan head that recedes slowly. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of grainy malt and maple. Medium body with flavors of maple, roast nuts and doughy malt. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.
