JPDIPSO (4210), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Jul 13, 2005 Dark golden color with a small but stable off white head. Pale malts, and light herbal and floral hops (wild grass and flowers). Simple, yet full, malt flavors. Mild, yet near center stage, thyme and rose hip hops. An english pale is in Green Bay. heemer77 (3633), Savannah, Missouri, USA Jan 12, 2008 Bottled. Hazy dark bronze body with a light khaki head. The aroma is grapefruit and toffee with some light ginger notes. The taste is leathery orange peels with some earthy musk notes. The body is fairly highly carbonated, but with light bubbles. Nice and subtle with notes of black tea in the finish. Well balanced and solidly made. Ughsmash (2958), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Jul 14, 2007 Bottled. Poured rather dark for a pale ale.. deeper orange with a short cap of white head. The aroma was all about the caramel and floral hoppage.. very sweet backing picked up some bready notes as well. Flavor was also quite sweet with lightly toasted caramel, grains, and tacky candied sweetness supporting a mild floral and herbal bitterness. Medium-bodied on the palate and tacky at several points. Overall quite drinkable and rather tasty. Skyview (2768), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Apr 3, 2007 Picked up a bottle from Trigs in Wausau, WI. Pours a dark but clear amber brew. Head retention disappears to a film at 40 degrees. Aroma of toffee, brown sugar and vanilla. Tastes of bread malt, some graininess. Finish is a little grainy and then clear. Not a really hoppy Pale Ale per se. But still a good Engllish Style. General_Gao (2434), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Mar 10, 2007 12 oz bottle. Poured a clear copper color. Head was white with decent retention and lacing. Pleasant aroma of caramel, toffee, and toasted bread. Slightly sweet on the tongue. Flavor is similar to the aroma; caramel and toffee, but there is also toasted nuts and light citrusy hops. Good pale ale.
