COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saison has a golden hue with an ample two finger head. A lemon-citrus aroma fills the nose. Brewed with Belgian specialty malts and a multitude of spices. Starts crisp citrus flavor and leaves a spicy pepper finish.

Bottle poured into glass. Definitely a nice spicy citrus aroma happening here. Slightly hoppy with a peppery finish.

Jacksonville, Fl. - Grassroots Natural Market - pint bottle. Hazy medium pour, sticky eggshell colored head, sticky lacing. Aroma has some light lemony accents, some yeasty notes. Flavor is very quaffable with some light sweet doughy notes, light saffron-likespiciness, some nectarine-like fruitiness. Mouthfeel is nice and thick. Pretty solid - thanks for the tip drowland!

Draft at Fermentation. Light amber color with a frothy white head. Sweeter aroma with mild cheese, pale malt and citrus. Flavor is somewhat bland with peppery yeast, pale grainy sweet malts and subtle citrus. Not terrible, but not what I look for in the style.

Dract to taster. Looks solid; a transparent orange with off-white lacing. Smells doughy and spicy. Tastesike it smells, only better, with a yeasty presence too. Nice on the palate. A decent saison.

5 ounce sampler at the Hinterland Milwaukee restaurant. Golden, clear appearance, white foam, lacing. Cake, yeast, pepper, lemon aroma. Taste is similar to the aroma. Crisp, citrus, sweet, lemon-pepper. Light in body, smooth, moderate carbonation. Overall, this is a refreshing spring beer to have on the patio when you eat outside for the first time of the season. It’s light and still carries a nice, balanced spice and citrus flavor.

Metallic citrus aroma. Nifty fun things floating around in a yellow beer. Flavor of mild lemon furniture polish, but in a good way, heheh. I’m liking these hinters more and more. Not bad for an over the sixer. Does not completely hide the bitterness but it comes across rather refreshing.

Tap at Old Fashioned. Hazy dulled orange-tan. Thin off-white head. Lots of carbonation. Big-time spice bomb. Lively, lacks subtlety. Peachy cinnamon, kind of intense and odd, though quite drinkable. Ginger, coriander, lemon. Unrefined.

Bottle at the Funky 8, Brooklyn, NYC. Quite spicy and herbal. Just a bit too sweet to be really good. Drinkable stuff as it is.

Multiple pint pours - Official description is right on: "Starts crisp citrus flavor and leaves a spicy pepper finish." Probably the most spicy and peppery saison I will ever encounter. Pretty straight forward, creamy as well. Not bad. Not great.
