2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
The pour is a reasonably heady golden copper. The aroma is slightly malted but more like perfume than anything else. It did not make me think of an Oktoberfest. The body is thin to medium. The taste had an odd yeasty, malty flavor that I could not quite define.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Half liter bottle - nose is caramel and yard weeds. Alsmost crisp. Hoppier than I expect from the style. Something akin to pepper in the finish. Interesting.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bready, but more bold solid malting ,has a slight crystal malt aspect to it,almost a honeyed tea aspect to it,head is very light not much going on in the way of carbonation, taste is a solld malt flavor, the kind that only well done Oktoberfestís can capture. I love that sweet toast,no hop aspect of this style, and Hinterland has captured all the best facets of it.Looks like it might be flat, but it isnt at all,one of those brews you can be content to suck on your tongue for a while after each swallow, hope that doesnt sound wierd

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
16 oz bottle. Deep amber orange. Decent malt nose and slight noble hop aroma. Taste is far too sweet/caramel for the style.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
16 ounce bottle. Served in a mug, the beer pours a clear orange/amber color with an inch off-white head that sticked around for a while. Thereís also a good amount of lacing. Aroma is caramel malt, light grassy hops and a bit of fruit. It tastes like caramel and bready/grainy malt, green hops and some nuts. Mouthfeel/body is medium, itís a bit creamy with moderate carbonation. Itís also smooth and easy to drink. Iíd buy it again, itís a good beer. $9.99 a 4-pack.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Hinterland. Pours a clear copper color with medium off-white head that fades quickly leaving some nice ring like lacing. The aroma is light biscuit, sweet malt, caramel and spicy floral hops. Taste is much the same with teh floral aspect being more pronounced in this then other Oktoberfests where they are more malt forward. Itís not to say that this isnít malt forward, it just has more of a hop backbone then other Oktoberfests Iíve had. Lightly carbonated and has a bitter and semi-dry finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear copper with thin white head. Aroma is mostly malty with some caramel notes coming through as well as some spice. Taste is malty up front with more caramel and roasty notes. A bit of hoppyness comes through on the end with a slightly bitter finish. Good mouthfeel. Overall an enjoyable, sessionable Marzen.
