smells a little sharp on the nose. looks like hefe. bright hop liter beer. sharp corner of throat thing settles in. starts to get rudely citrusy like chewing on fresh green grapefruit rinds. same with finish. must say, has pretty good co2 that takes the edge off.

5/21/13. 12oz bottle from Grassroots. Hazy golden white pour with a small off-white head that fades. The aroma mostly screams witbier - spice, phenolics, and a touch of citrus that could possibly be helped by the hops. Bitter entry, hop bite and the phenolics, with a definite mineral aspect, citrus, and lingering grassiness. Not bad. Dry and sessionable.

Pours cloudy yellow with a tall, fluffy white head. Aroma is pine...wood smoke. Taste is malty, light pine, white pepper, grapefruit peel. Very mild....soft and enjoyable.

10oz on tap at Cock & Bull in Hyde Park. I remember the labeled ABV as being less than 5%. Clear golden yellow color. Thin white head. Little loose splotches of lace. Light to medium body. Softer, smooth carbonation. Very spicy aroma. Coriander. More white beer than IPA. Pretty zesty taste. Light bitter, if any. Way too spicy. Citrus peel. Light hint of grapefruit. OK to sip on a bit, but this is way too big on the spice to truly session.

Pale, hazy golden color. White froth, nose is grapefruit, pine and light malt. Taste follows the nose, with some yeast and spice, coriander. Crisp, astringent, refreshing.

Finally on tap at Lunar Brewing Co. in Villa Park, IL.. Thank you, Glunz! Dispensed to a shaker showing a lightly hazed, straw color, with a thick layer of cakey, white head froth that lingered, then planted some clingy, patches of lacing on the interior of the glass. The nose was light yeast, soft wheat, some malt sweetness, light pine, but mainly expressive grapefruit and tangerine. A good malt base and lingering, rind-like & earthy hop bitterness made up the flavor. Light to medium bodied with decent carbonation and a pleasantly dry finish, I found this IPA to be very warm weather appealing and nicely sessionable. Good job, Joe, Scott, and crew!

Nice beer, light taste, probably good for those hot summer days. Light hint of fruit, but not overly fruity

Light golden pour thick white head nice lacing some visible carbonation. Citrus and a light white pepper a touch of grass caries through from the aroma to a lightly bitter finish. Light body but not watery. A very drinkable "light" IPA. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Sample at The Daily Growler. The beer pours a slightly hazy amber-orange color with a medium bone white head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, citrus and sweet malt. Medium body with flavors of grapefruity hops, roast malt and a touch of spice. The finish is hoppy with a citrus aftertaste. Above average overall.

Itís nice to see a local (Wisconsin) brewery tackling a session IPA. Hinterland nailed this one. 4.3%, according to the menu at hinterlandbeer.com, and it has a HUGE hop aroma. Big citrus and grapefruit nose here. Very nice carbonation with a tight white head. This beer is extremely hoppy for how light the body is, but I didnít find it thin. A little bit of Belgian spice going on, which I will guess is from the yeast. Speaking of, it looks to be unfiltered, so a swirl of the bottle is necessary. Overall, this will be my go-to summer beer.
