Bottle 50cl from Quack-Duck thanks. A clear amber beer with medium head. Nose is caramel like. Aroma is medium sweet, with a lager body, medium malty, some dry grapes notes and like porto vine at the finish, some spices too.

FatPhil (6216) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - FEB 26, 2011
500ml bottle (Trade from Quack-Duck - thanks)
6- Simple sweetish aroma, a little farty.
3+ Deep caramelly orange, very brief head.
6- Simple dryish lager with added caramel, and some marmitiness.
3 Thin palate apart from the sweetness, pleasant carbonation. Finish has dry papery hops, and more marmite too.
11 Sub-par, this really seems like a dullish lager with added caramel rather than some special thing they were really proud of. Hirsch can do better.

Bottle from Quack-Duck, thanks! Amber color. Maltaroma, bready with a hint of cinnamon. Malty bready flavor with cinnamon and hints of caramel and butter. Just a hint of nutty bitterness and caramel in the aftertaste. Tasty brew.

Allen (2469) - SWITZERLAND - NOV 21, 2009
Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of Quack-Duck. Beautiful clear amber with a smallish lacing light beige head. Very pleasant aroma where biscuity malt, very delicate aroma hops, menthol, a huge amount of lime, lemongrass, jam tarts and gooseberry show up- amazingly subtle if you dig deeper. Great taste with a remarkable balance. Medium bodied. Nice hop profile. Biscuity malt. Lime, lemongrass and gooseberry appearing again. Dryish finish which is reminiscent of almonds, lime and gooseberry. This beer has surpassed my expectations. Crisp, deeply pleasant and with plenty of character. Thanks a lot Quack-Duck!

Bottle. (trade with Papsoe) Deep golden, clear beer with a white head. The aroma starts malty, and is followed by caramel, fruits and a little note of metal. Caramel, malt, sweetness and a little hoppiness in the flavor. Medium body. Caramel-sweet finish with some bitterness. Märzen is definately not the style that gives me the Christmas feeling, but the beer is quite decent. It’s only the name that’s wrong. (070528)
