Bottle from Quack-Duck, thanks! Dark brown color. Caramel and Werthers Original in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with toffee, Werthers Original and fresh cheese. Cheesy finish. Diacetyl. Disappointing

Bottle (diky, Quack-Ducku!): Amber coloured, hazy, small off-white head, dryish malty-toasty nose with fruity traces of infection; sweet-bitter and sourish flavour, light to medium bodied; increasing acidity in the malty-hoppy finish. Not completely bad, but unfortunately infected.....

MoritzF (7402) - Bochum, GERMANY - MAR 3, 2012
(bottle, courtesy of Quack-Duck, bb-date: end of March 2012) Hazy, chestnut-brown colour with a medium-sized and loose foamy head. Slightly toasty malty aroma with bready notes and a sourish fruity note, showing an early stage of infection. Moderately sweet flavour with a tinge of sourness, light to medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Toasty malt-character with notes of caramel/toffee and a subtle fruity touch; sweet and mildly toasted finish with shy hop bitter and herbal accents. Drinkable, deserves a re-rate sooner or later. 08.II.12

Hugi (161) - Baden-Württemberg, GERMANY - OCT 8, 2011
From a 500 ml bottle. light-brown with a medium white head. almost no roasty taste, not much of caramel, coffee or chocolate. malty and easy to drink which makes it quite refreshing and nice but not a typical dunkel.
