The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass not really. Starts very dry and moldy, the finish is a little bit more spicy. Not a good beer!

Bottle. Golden color, white head. Herbal aroma. Oily, vegetable taste with malts and hops. Aftertaste is quite bitter. Nice.

Bottle. Pale blonde. First beer after almost 3 weeks abstinance. Floral grainy aroma and flavor. Hints of glue and apple. Disappointing.

courtesy of Markus Wernig - pours a clear and bright golden colour with a white persistent but chaotic foam; oily grassy hops hit the nose; medium-bodied and with a moderate carbonation; sweet and slightly sticky on the tongue; a gentle bitterness introduces a decently malty and aromatic grassy finish - quite rough and inellegant

08/04 0.5 l bottle courtesy of Doggythedog, thanks for sharing! It poured deeper golden body with small head that lived just a few seconds. Grass and lemon hops dominate its aroma, but for sure it had that eggy/honeyish marzen malt. Bittersweet flavor, more malty than hoppy, with hops being pronounced in the finish. Body was quite thin, which leaves a watery impression. OK one, nothing special, but it’s good for marzens which are almost always crappy.

0.5l bottle found in Graz, shared with heavy. Tiny white head that vanished immediately. Full yellow colour. Light malty nose, fresh but eggy, herbal hopiness. Taste, fine soapy herbal hoppiness? dominates the taste, without being all that bitter (the bitterness being an afterthought), some sweet slightly eggy maltiness. Ok but doesn’t impress me all that much.

Bottled(500ml). -pale yellow coloured with little white head, light hoppy and malty aroma with herbal notes, dry finish, tipical Austrian beer

Harsh nose of sour hops. Yellow colored body, small white head. Light hoppy flavor, along with some maltyness.

Another fine beer from Hirter. Pale and golden appearance, hoppy aroma with an initial sweet hoppiness followed by a gentle bitter aftertaste. Similar to the privat pils just less complex
