COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Hirter Morchl beer is not just a unique brand its production method also differs from that of other dark beers. Hirter Morchl is still brewed the proper way, with dark brewing malt, hops and caramel malt, which are also responsible for its dark colour. Beer lovers will appreciate its dry maltiness on the palate and pleasantly rounded, faintly bitter finish. The Hirter Morchl is another specialty beer that is allowed to mature naturally and in its own time and that is neither pasteurised nor otherwise interfered with. It is rendered non-perishable by means of a double filtering process.

Bottle. Dark reddish brown body with tan head. Aroma is roasted malts some hints of vanilla and a little bit swettness. Taste is not really very sweet with some roasted malts some coffee and hints of dried fruits. Aftertaste is nice bitter balanced by sweet roasted malts. Many, many years ago I was always stopping at the brewery and drinking this. Very nice one.

50cl bottle bb06/2015 (DLG Gold 2014) courtesy of werckmeister, merci. Fine redbrown pour with deep beigish foam. Sulphury nose of toasted Graubrot and maroni caramels. Dry caramel, more toast and a dry chestnutty fruitiness keeping it all together, while allowing for some cream and a subtle hop profile. Fine Dunkel with that slightly sulphurous sour roast touch.

0,5l bottle. Yes thats probably the best Dunkles you can get in Austria. Outstanding drinkability for a Dunkles. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
