COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Hirter Morchl beer is not just a unique brand – its production method also differs from that of other dark beers. Hirter Morchl is still brewed the “proper” way, with dark brewing malt, hops and caramel malt, which are also responsible for its dark colour. Beer lovers will appreciate its dry maltiness on the palate and pleasantly rounded, faintly bitter finish. The Hirter Morchl is another specialty beer that is allowed to mature naturally and in its own time and that is neither pasteurised nor otherwise interfered with. It is rendered non-perishable by means of a double filtering process.

Clear deep nutty brown color with a big fine tan head. Good lacing. Caramel malty and mild fruity aroma. Medium + body. Tad sweet and an ok bitterness. Average carbonation. Balanced fine deep malty, toffee and some fruity notes in the flavor. Quite decent dunkel! Tasty and easy drinkable.

Dark colored with light tan head. It has some chocolated taste with hint of roasted coffee and some caramel maltness. Very drinkable because of light body. It’s tastes really nice.

Bottle 0,50L brought by friend of mine, directly from the brewery. Dark, clear, ruby red colour with chic creamy, light brown head. Aroma of toasted malts, caramel, brown sugar, chocolate milk. Taste starts light, caramel sweet and finished light bitter. Medium body and oily texture.

Poured a dark brownish-red with a finger of creamy, tan head. Toffee, molasses, and butterscotch dominate the nose, but raisins and some nuttiness are hidden behind those. Very sweet, almost toffee like all the way down, with a minimal hop bit. Goes down smooth. Very good, especially since a pint is only $2.

Dark, reddish amber color and minimal head. The body was light and slick. The flavor had notes of malty sweetness.

Bottled, 0.50l. Clear dark brown color with large creamy light brown head that lasts quite long, pretty good lacing and sparkling appearance. Aroma of caramel, heavy toasted malt, chocolate, light herbal hops and hints of lemongrass. Taste starts with light sweet malt, not very rich, then followed by toasted notes and moderate grassy or herbal acidity. After a while strong toasted malty character bursts out, in the end is balanced with moderate bitterness. Mouthfeel is spicy, finish is long and bitter. Medium body, oily texture and almost flat carbonation in palate. Soon after first few disappointingly plain sips, general picture was turned upside down, happy ending reached...
