3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Dorqui (1552) - Brescia, - SEP 21, 2007
UPDATED: SEP 22, 2007 Bottled 0,50L. Beautiful and deep brown color with discreet bubbly aspect. Abundant head of medium resistance. Roast and toasted cereal notes, scent of malt and smoked wood. Very lively and much fizzy taste with pleasant aromas of burned wood and braced malt. Much bitter and amazingly balanced. Not much reisistente final.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 islay (640) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUN 3, 2012
16.9 oz. bottle. Aroma features milk chocolate chip, orange, lemon, rhubarb, toffee and brownie scents. Some dryness. Citrusy sharpness bordering on sourness. Interesting smell, but it’s a mixed bag. Pours a bright, mostly clear, medium brown. A touch of haze in the liquid and a reddish hue to the color. Moderate amount of dark taupe/light tan head. Uncommon, appealing appearance. Flavors of milk chocolate, lemon, and carob. Fruity (red grape), minerally, vegetal (celery), and a bit yeasty. Sweeter than ideal for me but enjoyable. Mocha, coffee with milk, and light metal in the finish. Soft, watery, easy to drink, and insubstantial in the palate. Hirter Morchl is interesting and reasonably memorable, earning it a bonus point in the overall score.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 rozsoma (283) - HUNGARY - MAY 28, 2012
3rd Wiener Bierfest, Vienna, Austria. Sampled by Kis Salétrom and Szebeni Ászok.
SZÁ: Na ez már javít a főzde pozitívabb megítélésén. Igazán ügyes kis söröcske ez, amit az ízlelőbimbókkal csinál az kacifántos. Krémes, jó a teste, ügyesen mozog. Olajos.
KS: Afféle Balaton-íz és fogas. Mint amikor hasast ugrasz a vízibicikliről, de rosszul fogsz vizet és nagyokat nyelsz a Balatonból, de akkorákat, hogy még egy fogast is kifogsz vele.

Deep brown pour with a light tan head. Aroma is caramel, malt, very light roast. Lots of malt. Flavor is malty, slightly sweet, good mouthfeel. Good beer.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Scipio (190) - Vernon Hills, Illinois, USA - MAY 4, 2012
Pours a very dark amber, perhaps brown, with a beige head. Aroma is caramel, bready, and some chocolate. Taste is lighter, and isn’t to bad. Very malty with the above noted flavors from the aroma. Kind of earthy as well. Some carbonation, but altogether smooth. Nothing of not really stands out.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 Fatehunter (160) - - APR 15, 2012
Poured into a tall 0.5 liter glass stein. Copper to brown colored with two fingers of fluffy off-white head.
Rich smelling malt, pepper, barley and slight citrus.
Rich tasting also. Sweet and malty, a bit chewy, almost no carbonation, and a touch of bitter. At the end it has a watery taste where the dominate flavors quickly fall off.
Very enjoyable. Looks amazing and smelled and tasted great. Tough to beat.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Leighton (4100) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 5, 2012
On tap at Centimeter II, Vienna. Pours clear, red-brown with a big, off-white foam head. Roasty dark malt nose with hints of caramel. medium sweet flavor with a nice caramel character, toasty sugar and dark malts. Medium in body with average carbonation. Lightly dry, sweet finish with caramel, toasty malts and dark sugar. Exactly what I expect out of a dunkel. Nice.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Strykzone (3135) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - MAR 27, 2012
Sampled at an esbls tasting. Dark brown with lots of cherry red. A malty chocolate aroma. That is exactly the flavor, too. Just not a enough going on.
2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 birraiolo (86) - ITALY - MAR 6, 2012
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Grima (1574) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - FEB 12, 2012
Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!
Schöne malzbierähnliche Farbe. Stark malziger, karamelliger Geruch.
