COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Hirter Morchl beer is not just a unique brand – its production method also differs from that of other dark beers. Hirter Morchl is still brewed the “proper” way, with dark brewing malt, hops and caramel malt, which are also responsible for its dark colour. Beer lovers will appreciate its dry maltiness on the palate and pleasantly rounded, faintly bitter finish. The Hirter Morchl is another specialty beer that is allowed to mature naturally and in its own time and that is neither pasteurised nor otherwise interfered with. It is rendered non-perishable by means of a double filtering process.

UPDATED: AUG 26, 2012 This is one of my favorite beers. It is best on tap. Very good aroma and taste. Goes great with a pizza.

In aroma this is very heavy on the toffee and caramel, a good sign. The flavor is similar to the aroma with a good palate. Among the best dunkels out there.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours reddish brown with a tan head. Taste carmel, nut, sweet. I thought this was good. I would drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured into a tall 0.5 liter glass stein. Copper to brown colored with two fingers of fluffy off-white head. Rich smelling malt, pepper, barley and slight citrus. Rich tasting also. Sweet and malty, a bit chewy, almost no carbonation, and a touch of bitter. At the end it has a watery taste where the dominate flavors quickly fall off. Very enjoyable. Looks amazing and smelled and tasted great. Tough to beat.

Probably the best beer... No, it´s not. But it is a very, very good dark beer. Caramel and fruits. And also nice to look at with a big head. I should have bought some bottles back home.

Bottle. Closest to Bavarian dunkel that I have found in the USA. Everything that is from Germany or even the Bavaria region that I have found here in the States doesn’t compare to what I had in Germany. This is a very good example of a dunkel.

500ml bottle. Deep, thick burgundy-brown with a beige head. Fruity caramel aroma, very mellow and milkshake like. Medium bodied, with some light, watery chocolate tones. Nice and bready, very soft on the palate. Yeasty creaminess really rounds this beer out, and gives it more dimension. Love to have it fresh on tap.
