Slayer85 (457), Firenze, Italy Jul 1, 2008 Bottled. A clear dark red beer with a huge and persistent beige foam. The aroma is overall malty, not extremely powerful, but quite nice with notes of caramel and nuts. Light roastiness. The flavour has a medium sweetness, nice bready malts with again caramel notes and some hops in the end. Light to medium body, watery texture, average/lively carbonation, short/medium finish with light bitterness. Very drinkable, but too thin body for my taste. Worth a try.

bee__R (44), Cantù, Italy Oct 6, 2008 50 cl bottle. Puors dark brown with a reddish shine. Nice thick and cappuccino-like head, dense even if not really latsing.
Rich but not strong aroma: malty sweetness, honey and some caramel. Red ripen fruits and a roasty coffe background.
Medium body, roasted bitterness and sweet but less incisive than nose and than what I expected.
Maybe too low carbonation.
Nice example of this style considering I found it in a supermarket. kappldav123 (1074), Markkleeberg, Germany Sep 27, 2008 The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Week malty aroma. Tastes mild-malty, earthy-roasty. Finish fruity, like plum. Could be a bit drier. Still not bad! KyotoLefty (202), Kyoto, Japan Sep 20, 2008 Bottle in Vienna, 2006.
Very dark brown, almost opaque. Good head. Faint aroma, a hint of roasted malt and caramel. Tastes more burnt and coffee-like than any other Austrian dark I have tried to date. A dark lager, but somewhat stout-like. Only slightly sweet, not a whole lot of hops either, but well balanced. Great malt.
ChainGangGuy (1602), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Sep 19, 2008 Appearance: Pours a clear, dark reddish-brown body marked by a few bubbles here and there.
Smell: Predominately malty aroma smelling of brown sugar sprinkled of dark fruits, particularly plums and raisins, and encompassed by a slight earthiness.
Taste: Oh-so malty! Mixture of brown sugar and caramel with a solid sweetness. Fair amount of fruit. Not very hoppy. Slight soil-minded earthiness. Sip of cool, clean water. Sweetish, fruit finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Very, very slight stickiness to the mouthfeel.
Drinkability: Hirter? I hardly know ’er!
