COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The beer is brewed according to the old Czech Pilsen method, therefore the taste is not bitter, but is recognized by connoisseurs as an elegant, sweet drink with a mild taste of hops.

Pours golden. Aromas and flavours of sweet grains. Easy drinking. Very refreshing on a hot muggy day

From Gene’s Straight up classic euro pils. Not and outstanding example but not bad at all. More malty than grassy. Serving: Bottle

Pours a clear golden color, topped with a nice looking frothy white head, medium retention. Malty aroma with presence of grassy notes. The taste is crisp, a bit grassy with mild bitterness. Nice, light and refreshing.

0,125 hana @ café Einstein Vienna. Kirkas pissankeltainen. Tuoksussa mallasta, humalaa, vähän kitkeryyttä ja leipää. Perus lagermainen tuoksu vaikka onkin pils. Maussa humalaa ja mallasta, vähän leipää. Vähän ruohoista ja humala on katkeraa. Ihan OK.

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe: poured three times into a Veltins Pilsner tulip on 11th June 2015. Bright, clear and clean looking brew, golden with a snow white head (which lasts): carbonation bubbles clearly to be seen rising through the beer. Corn and other cereals in the aroma, semi-sweet on the tongue with the malts pushing the hop content into a distant second place. Almost creamy (yes, for a Pilsner) on the palate. This is far from your average Pilsner in quite a few ways: it had an aroma that didn’t remind me of wet cardboard, it had head retention with lacing and a flavoursome body depth far beyond it’s 5.2% ABV would normally have. One of the best ’basic’ Pilsners I have come across so far.

On tap in Spitz. Dissipating white-yellow. A-sweet grain, some spice hops. T-follows.

Bottle from Whole Foods in London. I still just don’t get the pilsener hate. This had a clear golden yellow colour, rocky white head. Crisp, clean malt profile. Very pleasant floral spicy noble hop character, rich rather than massively bitter, good hop flavour. Expectations were (very) low - an Austrian pils - but this was really rather pleasant.

*Old rating, best before 23.06.2010. Malzig-getreidiges, nicht zu tiefes Bier. Frisch, süffig, leicht süßlich mit moderater Herbe im Nachgeschmack.

500ml bottle. Yes, i overrate this. But why always the heavy, almost undrinkable, very complex, high alcohol content beers win? It has almost creamy, low white head, pale yellow colour, and low Co2 content. Unpasteurized so ii is not crystal clear and a little unique. You can drink very easy, it is slick and not dry, thick and sticky. You can say watery, but this is the good meaning of the word. Rather sweet taste than hoppy but the hop do a little spicy feeling, maybe grass. I liked it very much, only its price is a little higher than its ’contents’.
