2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
330ml bottle. Clear golden color. Small size, white head, stays. Malty, denim? sweat? dirty orange peel in aroma. Citrus, candy, sweet taste. Soft carbonation. Kind of weird and messy.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured into flute a orange amber color with pastime white head and lace. Aroma was malty, breach, with some orange oil. Taste was malts, biscuit with the orange coming in the finish. Not the grapefruit or pine hop bombs being made in the USA, this is very different. Lighter and malty in taste, very drinkable and refreshing. A winner for me.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
330ml bottle (Koht, Tallinn)
Slightly sticky American pale ale aroma. Some odd pencil shavings, don’t normally get that from the aroma. Pale amber, small tight head. Palate thinish, carbonation quite high. Mashy malts, some soapiness in the taste. Hops very bitter, some white pepper, but almost metallic in the finish. A touch too harsh.

Bottle poured a cloudy orange amber with a small lasting creamy amber head. Aromas of biscuit, candied orange, earthiness and light pink grapefruit. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, candied orange and light grapefruit with a smooth dry lingering citrus finish.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught at Bungalow. Nice clear gold. Huge orane aroma with some hops. Very fruity flavour, starts sweet but has some hop bitterness after. Sadly not enough hops for what is labelled an IPA. Nice summer beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
355ml Bottle from Good Spirits Co, Glasgow:
Strong smell of oranges, almost overpowering with some wheat and a little sweetness. I could detect some hops although not many & touches of bitterness plus various background fruits rounded things off.
Bright amber with a clear body & visible carbonation. The head was 0.25cm & turned patchy after a few seconds.
Dominated by a strong orange presence that also hints at some alcohol. Some yeast, a little wheat & some bitterness make an appearance alongside some subtle hops & a perfume like flavour that seemed quite floral.
Smooth with a medium body and light medium carbonation, this one is slightly sweet & some hints of alcohol also feature.
Fairly average beer & definitely wasn’t on of their better offerings, the beer just seemed to be dominated by the orange smell & flavour and despite being labelled as an IPA I would be more inclined to put it down as a fruit beer.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
the "IPA" in this ale is not as apparent as in their japanese classic ale. The orange peel is clearly sweet orange and is quite strong. It dominates the flavor and aroma. behind that aroma is some earthy piney hop smell. beautiful color. with a lasting head (that i’m surprised the orange oil didnt kill off).
tasty, but much less complex than other hitachino nest offerings.
