3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
From notes. 330 mL bottle shared at a tasting on 5 May. The pour is slightly orangey-gold with a thin white head and some spotty lacing. The aroma is definitely different. The hoppiness is very reserved and the fruits seem to take over over on the front end. The tangerine is the dominating factor, and kind of drowns out anything else that may be trying to pop up. There might be a light malt on the back end. The flavor is just as the aroma would suggest. The mouth feel is thin and light, but the carbonation is also light and the aftertaste vanishes quickly with not much of a presence

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
4/1/2014. 12 oz. bottle bought at Jester King. Pours light amber with a creamy white head. Malty and spicy aromas. Low carbonation. Somewhat mellow but the orange peel shows with good balance without being overpowering. Hints of tea with a bit of sweetness on the finish. Interesting brew.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Small bottle from Le Collier Marunouchi, Tokyo Railway Station. Pinkish orange brown, good head. Oregano resin hop aroma. Tastes like a herby pizza. Never had a beer like this before. Smooth with spicy aftertaste. Not sure why this is classed as a wheat beer. More a spice herb vegetable. Would go great with a pizza.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
330 mL bottle. Pours a golden amber with many particles of varying sizes, a white head. Overripe orange aroma. Flavor is again of orange, some grapefruit, stale pale malt. Not sure how old it is, but it seems the orange peel is rather overpowering any hops that may be in there.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce bottle from Belmont. Always after Japanese ticks:) Anyway, pours a cloudy orangish hue with a large white head. A big fruity nose, some oranges and yeast. The flavor is tart oranges, dusty, malt, caramel, a bit thin. Lacking overall. Wheat perhaps. Sort of reminds me of a Hefe with an orange in it. OK.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
From bottle. Pours a orange yellow with a small white head. Almost no head. Aroma is subtle floral and caramel notes. Taste is floral, citrus, some caramel, and a little sweet. Not much bitterness, but nicely done. Medium mouthfeel, a little slick. Good carbonation. A very easy to drink and nicely pleasing IPA.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Yellow orange pour into hitachino glass. A weird sugary maltiness combined with hints of orange. Some hop finish. Not my favorite hitachino.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Drinks like a sweet pale ale. Not in any way an IPA. Big on the orange and sweetener, but little else. Another dissapointment from Hitachino

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours amber with a quickly fading head.
Nose shows sweet malt, orange peel, soft spices, woody notes and incense. Different.
Interesting flavours too. Alcohol, sweet malt and a woody incence note again. Finishes with an assertive bitterness but little of the way in hop flavours.
Needs more carbonation, feels watery.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Hazy medium amber, thin off white head. Malty caramel, tea-like tanninic dryness. Quite dull, with verry little fruity aromatics or hop character. This may be an old bottle, but it was quite a dud.
