3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20Poured from a 24 into a Sam Adams glass. Dark yellow with lots of particulate floating around. Huge head that slowly fades to a heavy film. When I first poured it I got a huge whiff of hops but strangely it’s not there on the first taste. Virtually no hop taste. Malty with bitterness a little pepper but the hops is subdued. After it warms a little I get some cedar and rosemary scent. Also a little more cedar in the taste. Unusual beer.

Citrus hops aroma. Taste of citrus, sesame seeds and some caramel. Nicely balanced bitterness in the aftertaste.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; clear copper head with medium off white foamy head, bready malt aroma, sweet malt taste hints of caramel with a bitter edge reminds of decent ESB’s which isn’t a bad thing.

Pours cloudy orange with low white head. Floral and perfume-y aroma with light fruit. Taste is very balanced with only mild bitterness. Abrupt finish. Light, smooth body with low carbonation.

Flaska @ Nami, Varberg. Bärnstensfärgad med vitt skum. Doftar inte så mycket frukt och blommighet som jag hade trott (även om det finns där), i stället är det mer karamell och örter som dominerar. Smaken likadant. Trevlig beska som inte tillåts ta över helt och hållet.

Copper/amber in color with a small white head.
Aroma is fruit,hop,citrus,malt and some herbs.
A bit sweet,fruity and hoppy beer.
A beer i will try again when i see it.

August 2010. Bottle. Great example of a Japanese microbrew. Fully up to par with other IPA’s. Pours amber color with a white head. The wood ageing ads a little extra and makes this brew unique.

Bottle at Parkteatret. Clear amber off-white head. Malty aroma with caramel, hops, fruits and hints of herbs. Moderate sweet with a nice bitterness. Very nice! (2013-05-24)

Pours a clear copper colour with suspended solids(possible proteins) and a 1/4 inch long lasting off white head. Aroma is rich maltiness, grassy, mildly perfumy, smooth but light wood(I know it’s cedar from the description but it’s not super distinctive), and some fruity esters. Flavour is smooth cedar, creamy, grassy, earthy, caramel, and sweet malt. I really like the cedar barrel twist on a classic style!

Pours a clear dark copper with a nice frothy off white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma of sweet pale malts, cedar, grassy hops and some fruity notes. Taste is pale malts, grassy and earthy hops with some caramel and a slight woodiness with an awesome dry finish. Surprisingly good English ipa with a Japanese twist.

Drucken på Saiko i Malmö. Bärnstensfärgad, relativt klar vätska, lågt skum. Ingen stor humledoft men lite tall och citrus. Spännande smak. Mer åt engelsk IPA med en cedertvist. Ctrius, aningen tall, lite blommor och så en kryddig träsmak från ceder som påminner om ingefära, kanal, sandelträ och tallbark. Funkar mycket bra ihop, ja t o m gör den annars ganska anonyma IPA:an
