12oz bottle poured into nonic. Hazy orange liquid with a a pillowy head that settles to a finger of foam. The aroma is packed with cedar wood and white pepper then thereís malt, bread, grass, and doughy yeast. Flavor is perfumed bitterness from the cedar, tea and white pepper, followed by citrus hop and caramel malts. Medium body, slightly thick but sadly without a resinous/sticky IPA character, lively carbonation, and a bitter, nearly astringent finish.

I visited Japan last year to see my family. I wasnít into craft beer then but had many Hitachino beers actually. Now Iím turning into a credit beer fanatic, Iím re-drinking them all over again. This one is okay. Not hoppy enough to my satisfaction but okay. Its pretty middle of the road.†

IPA... no it isnít, I mean no, absolutely zero % IPA. Smells little bit like caramel, malt, honey and alcohol. Even the taste has quite a lot alcohol, quite thick and bitter, but this is not an IPA.

0,33L bottle. Aroma is caramel, malt, fruits, pine and some sweetness. Pours amber with off-white head. The head stays. Flavor is sweet, caramel, malt, grapefruit, and cedar. Finish is bitter with some caramel thrown in. Overall: nice sweet hoppy brew.

Shaed y martjoobolut, thanks! Golden orange beer, beige head. Nose is cedar notes with caramel and malt, rice, spice. Flavor is hops, malt, some sweet notes, spice, cedar oil in the finish along with some more spice, pepper. Quirky anda bit weird, but worth a try.

330ml bottle. Hazy orange color. Small size, white head, stays. Sweet, fruity, herbal notes in aroma. Odd aroma. Nettles, spicy, herbal, juniper, woody taste. Medium bitterness. Cannot detect alcohol.

Aroma is not American in hoppning. Lots of residual sweetness, earthy hops, light, light woody notes, amber colour, medium white head, lacing. Big bite, softened by a noticable sweetness, good flavours, but not as uber hoppy as one is used to. Medium body, average carbonation, bitter finish. Solid.

330ml bottle (Koht, Tallinn)
Pale orange, small tight head. Initially a stodgy grain aroma, but later a white peppery hop aroma. Very weird twist in the taste, flavour ninjutsu, just when you think you nailed it from the aroma it dives out of the way and presents a different face. Very spicy, but more maustepippuri than white pepper. Sweetish malts give it a smooth palate, and thereís pleasant carbonation to keep it crisp. Taste so spicy, canít believe itís reinheitsgebot. So peppery. Very hard to score, itís reall quite off-the-wall. definitdely worth hunting out to experience something quite unique.

A pleasant surprise. Since the store was out of the white ale we tried this. A good flavor and palate. Will be enjoying another bottle soon.

Aroma is floral hoppiness with notes of clove, straw and lemon grass. Some sweet malts aswell. Taste is roasty malts, caramel, light plum and some moderate bitter tang on finish. Light spiciness can be detected aswell. Appearance is amber/orange with a haziness and lots of fine sediment suspention. The thin white head retains moderately.
