Bottle. Cloudy amber beer with a strong frothy white head. The aroma is mildly malty, and the flavour is very hoppy and malty at the finish. Overall a nice strongly hopped beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Head: Almost white, stays as a 1cm layer, nice lacing
Aroma: very strong caramel odor with almond oil and dates; alcohol as well
Color: hazy amber (orange tone)
Taste: sweet caramel malts, then something floral and then some fresh hoppy taste that lingers on
Palate: medium body, medium carbonation, nice oily-ness in texture, not too thin at all. Hops and roasted malt stay in mouth for a while

Ja, fŲr att vara en ipa sŚ tyckte jag den inte var bra. Mer som en besk mer šn vanligt humlad lager.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Cloudy copper/amber. Some fruit, a lot of cedar woody notes, malt forward with light hops, a touch of caramel and bread, tea elements. Pretty good, better than I assumed.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Appearance is cloudy amber with a one-finger white bubbly head. Aroma- malty, caramel, vague hoppiness, fruity. Taste- malty and a bit creamy, toffee/caramel, hoppy, orange and hints of raisin, medium to full in the mouth, hardly any bitterness. Nice, doesnít seem at all like 7.5%.

Cloudy brown-amber with a yellow-white head.
Caramel and cedar aroma.
Taste is sweet, fruity, woody...very lightly bitter wood.earthy hops.
Slightly spicy caramel malt...creamy.
Iíd have said it was an English Pale if I hadnít looked up the description.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Donít drink this expecting an American style IPA. Itís closer to an English version, but even then itís not that close. Copper brown with a decent white head. Slightly oily body. The cedar comes through in the aroma, alongside malt and a presence of herbs. Dry taste, with wood, a hint of caramel, malt and a hint of spice. Not much like anything else. Which is good.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
"A very prefumey IPA, likely from both the hops and the cedar. Interesting blend of flavors...at times a mess and at times very tasty. Not one Iíd want all the time, but this has a place."

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 14A adapted). Bottle 33 cl - Batch J.14.02. AROMA: no hop notes with sweet malt aromas reminiscent of caramel. very low fruitness. APPEARANCE: amber color and hazy. moussy tanned head with good retention. TASTE: medium bitterness that lingers into a dry finish with no hop flavours. unbalanced high malt flavours. PALATE: medium-light body with moderate carbonation. OVERALL: although the comercial description says it is a IPA, this beer is unbalanced towards a sweet malt profile but its not that bad.
