3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Exploded when I opened the bottle, don’t think i shook it or anything. Poured a nice medium orange-amber hue with a nice sediment at the bottom. A frothy beige head that had great retention but no lace. Aroma had some nice fruity esters and s delicate cedar note to it. Really lacked hops and a sweet malt base. Flavor was slightly sour, not in a negative way. It seemed lost between a sour ale and an amber ale. Hops were mild in after taste and the carbonation seemed elevated.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Restrained but fruity aroma with active head and dark amber colour. Very well balanced body/flavour with nicely sustained bitter finish.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass.
Aroma- Fruity with a rustic foliage follow through
Appearance- A great clear copper color with a small head
Taste- Malt with pears (?), has a slight hop feel at the end
Palate- Medium bodied with a slick soft carbonation
Overall-An excellent brew! The flavor builds with every sip and invites you to have more than one.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
(Hitachino Nest Japanese Classic Ale) Bottle 330 ml at home, from a trade with torriman, thanks! Served into a tulip, ABV 7%
Dark orange colour on the body, tall off-white head, thick, with very good retention, leaving medium lacing on the glass.
Aroma has light hops, caramel malts, light grapefruit, cookie dough.
Taste has some cedar notes, very interesting, gives the beer some wine notes. Other than that, biscuit, caramel malts, orange peel, wood.
Medium body, good carbonation.
It turned out to be very good!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Head: Almost white, stays as a 1cm layer, nice lacing
Aroma: very strong caramel odor with almond oil and dates; alcohol as well
Color: hazy amber (orange tone)
Taste: sweet caramel malts, then something floral and then some fresh hoppy taste that lingers on
Palate: medium body, medium carbonation, nice oily-ness in texture, not too thin at all. Hops and roasted malt stay in mouth for a while

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Ja, för att vara en ipa så tyckte jag den inte var bra. Mer som en besk mer än vanligt humlad lager.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Cloudy copper/amber. Some fruit, a lot of cedar woody notes, malt forward with light hops, a touch of caramel and bread, tea elements. Pretty good, better than I assumed.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Appearance is cloudy amber with a one-finger white bubbly head. Aroma- malty, caramel, vague hoppiness, fruity. Taste- malty and a bit creamy, toffee/caramel, hoppy, orange and hints of raisin, medium to full in the mouth, hardly any bitterness. Nice, doesn’t seem at all like 7.5%.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cloudy brown-amber with a yellow-white head.
Caramel and cedar aroma.
Taste is sweet, fruity, woody...very lightly bitter wood.earthy hops.
Slightly spicy caramel malt...creamy.
I’d have said it was an English Pale if I hadn’t looked up the description.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Don’t drink this expecting an American style IPA. It’s closer to an English version, but even then it’s not that close. Copper brown with a decent white head. Slightly oily body. The cedar comes through in the aroma, alongside malt and a presence of herbs. Dry taste, with wood, a hint of caramel, malt and a hint of spice. Not much like anything else. Which is good.
