Not sure what a sweet stout is suppose to be. Compared to a stout it has a lighter and crisp flavor. It's a very dark beer but it doesn't taste like a dark beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Sourced Market, St Pancras. Black beer lasting thick tan head. Very lacto on the aroma. Some medium sweet stout flavour in the mouth. Not much on the finish. Very lacto and not really my thing, but ok.

Bottle from Vesuvio, Darlington. Pours black with a quickly fading tan head. Pretty thin tasting with some decent coffee notes and a fair bit of sweetness. A bit too carbonated too. An OK stout.

Opaque, dark brown with a coffee foam. Nice dark chocolate aroma, coffee bitternes and some lacto stint. Hint of roasted malt, some chocolate, not much more. Lacto comes in the aftertaste. Lively beer, pretty slim.

Color and aroma are everything you would expect from a stout. Way too much carbonation for a stout, pretty dry on the palate. Slightly sweet, coffee flavor in the after taste. -- rated via 'Find A Beer' for Blackberry 10

Rich aroma, malty and maybe vaguely soy saucey. Dark appearance, tan head. Quite a rich taste too, a bit burned perhaps almost Marmite-y, quite sweet as you’d expect. Fizzy for a stout, bitter on the palate. Quite nice overall!

Bottle at the Euston Tap, London on 2 May. Poured a really dark brown; close to black, with a dense beige head. Aroma of dark fruits, creamy milk and cocoa. Initial flavours were a little on the sweet side; some fruit cake, chocolate and chewy malt. Finish was toasted malt, tobacco and sticky fruit.
