Well (but not overly) hopped, with a nice balance of hop varieties all providing distinctive notes. The spices round out the nose, and the taste, leading to a great holiday-themed brew!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
pours almost clear bright orange with a very nice creamy off-white head, good retention and lacing. fragrant sweet orange peel/skin and orange blossom layered in doughy lightly spicy caramel; woodsy, bitter and astringent herbs, cacao powder, integrated warming booze, belgian yeast, very nice fruitiness - spicy apricots perhaps, lightly sweet tobacco, gently soothing vanilla - thankfully muted, some sweetness - golden candi, candied sweetness, peppery and few floral notes. bright to average carbonation, medium body - oily, assertive grassy-earthy-woodsy-citrusy finish. interesting offering. herbs/spices are very well integrated if not just slightly muted - for my pleasure. nicely crafted.
