Bottle. Frothy white good mostly deminishing head. Amber cloudy colour. Moderate malty and hoppy very spicey aroma. Coriander and nutmeg present most clearly. Moderate bitter very spicey flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily opalate. Powerfull and nice, but very spicey indeed.

Bottle. Pours brown-orange. Cloudy. Very yeasty, in a sweet belgian way. Green apples. Spicy. Small tartness. Warming.

golden-oraange with a soapy white head. big spice aroma, with some classic witbier tones as well. slight touch of vanilla. spice is much more subdued on the tongue, vanilla/honey sweetness comes across vividly. It’s definitely nice and full flavored. a touch too much carbonation that becomes a bit tiresome on the palate by the end of the beer. but aside from that, it’s marvelous.

Pours a hazy and amber beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is malt, caramel, sweetness, fruit, banana, yeast and coriander. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is sweetness. Overall an average beer.

Bottle. As Commemorative Ale 2011, 8% ABV. Amber with a fading light beige head. Aroma of old ginger, vanilla, oranges, cinnamon, an unusual wheaty/ leafy doughiness. Quite sweet with lots of spices (menthol?) and balancing bitterness. Hides the alcohol very well. Tastes rather less intriguing than it smells.

Pours a nice dark orange color with a good sized off-white head that left some lacing. Aromas of fruit, bread, cinnamon and other spices. Flavors of vanilla, cinnamon and spices with a slightly sweet and bitter citrus finish. Medium bodied. Good beer.

Bottle at CP&K, thanks to Bunce. It pours hazy deep orange, with a thin foamy off-white head. The nose is rice, light floral, bread, sake and salty umeboshi plum. The taste is sweet orange, pith, mango, apricot, spice, herbal, salty umeboshi, rice, solid underlying bitterness and alcohol warmth. Medium body and fine carbonation. Really tasty and interesting stuff.

Pours cloudy amber with a white head. Aroma is caramel, coriander, clove and banana. Flavour is caramel, alcohol, coriander, banana and clove.

Tasted on 9/27/11 from a 330mL bottle purchased at Vinea. Pours murky, dirty, orange with a very thick, off-white head that slowly recedes to rocky lace. The nose is full of spices, coriander, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, along with some citrus peel bitterness, and a light sweetness underlying. The flavor is sweet vanilla bean and fruity orange up front, moving to the same spices as the nose, finishing with some light orange peel bitterness. The body is medium with lively carbonation and a long, vanilla and orange peel, bittersweet finish.

Bottle. Pours a pale amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity spicy nutmeg and vanilla aroma. Fruity sweetish malty spicy vanilla flavor. Has a sweetish malty spicy vanilla finish.
