Pours a light orange with a thin head. Orange zest but not much in the aroma. Orange and lemongrass fading into a slight bitter aftertaste with some of the alcohol hitting. Tasty Belgium beer

Draught at Beer Belly, Winter 2007. "Seven Strong Ales" event. Aroma of mlid hops, coriander, lemon, and orange peel. Ambercolor. Spicy! The hops are balanced with cloves and cinnamon. Malt and hops attack in the mid-palate and last through finish. Tasty, but maybe too much spicing.

Aromas of vanilla, nutmeg, nuts and ginger.Fairly bright orange with a red tint and lots of sediment. Delicious flavors of oak, maple syrup, molasses, and malted barley. Finish leaves a delectable taste of candied caramel sweetness and a hint of alcohol. Overall, a fantastic brew straight out of Japan. Very full-bodied and sweet. I’d give this an A+ rating.

11.2 oz. bottle. Pours a muddied dark gold with a very thin, incomplete head that disappears before I can take the first sip and leaves no lace. Not a very attractive beer. The aroma is very sweet with overripe orange, caramel and vanilla. The flavor is very sweet with lots of overripe orange and a heavy dose of spice. I like sweet beers, but this one is too much for me. Mild bitterness at the finish with a noticeable alcohol burn. Medium bodied. Not something I would look to revisit.

12 oz. bottle purchased at @ Nikki’s Liquors, Providence, R.I. for $5.19. Vintage 2011. How was this still on the shelf?? Lager glass shows a murky brown color. Very weak Co2. Nose is a pleasant blend of dark fruit, caramel malt and spice. . Flavors of vanilla, cinnamon, dark fruit with a slightly bitter citrus finish. Medium bodied with a sweet finish. After the age, no ABV can be found. Overall this was a decent offering. Very easy for me to drink even if it is on the sweet side.

What’s better than celebraing Year of the Snake with a matching beer like this one? Bottle labeled as "Commemorative Ale 2013" with abv 8%. Clear amber red colour; Smallish head and off white foam which fades in 30 seconds. Sticky lacing with active carbonation; Fragrant, fruity and complex aroma of vanilla, orange peel, cloves, cinnamon, dark fruits, herbs, and caramel; Taste of sweet malt, citrus, molasses, cloves and hops. Light body and thin palate; Hop bitterness is nice Saaz type a la Pilsner Urquell. Sweetness is nice and not cloying and finish with lively and lingering hoppiness. Slightly dry after taste, Fairly easy to mouth.
Comments: On first glance it can be easily mistaken as a Belgian Blonde, but it has a sophisticated aroma and a nicely presented taste and palate. Thin body aside, this is a very unique and enjoyable brew. Excellent for festive occasions. Happy New Year everyone!

Draft. Dark ruby with no head. Aroma is heavy on the coriander. Taste is cherries and wheat. The other spices are a little subdued. Nice luxurious palate. Not terrible but sort of a strange combination of elements.

Tap at JBT fest. Golden brown colour. Taste is sweet, ginger biscuits. Nice and hides the booze well. Bit of Belgian yeastiness. Aroma quite nice. Yeasty, malty. Easy drinking.
