A dose of fresh ginger roots added to the brewkettle creates an intriguing mix of ginger, malt-sweetness , and citruslike aromas and flavors Hoppy dryness is very subdued with ginger-sweet-spicey notes dominating throughout to the very finish.

Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Clear, reddy bronze. Halo of white. Sweet, crystal malts. Bit of flora. Taste is syrupy sweet. Tingle of spice. Palate is thick, with more of the syrup. Finish is all of that. Ginger right on the close. Too claggy.

Straight from TOKYO :D 33cl in teku. Pours a medium, creamy and dense, light beige/orange head; nice amber to ruby colour, cloudy. Smells malty, with some sort of great "candied//sweet" ginger notes, but also very floral, nuts and some orange citrus too. That’s quite complex and very parfumed, remebers "Grand Marnier" notes for some aspects. Tastes japanese ginger (like the rose coloured one you eat with tradtional sushi), caramel malts, cane sugar, spices, candied zest; medium to high sweetness, small to medium bitterness. Nice and delicate carbonation, medium bodied, slick and slight sticky. Malty, citrusy, and with that very particular japanese ginger leaves aromas and notes. You can see it as a sort of amber ale + ginger and some spiced notes, doesn’t seem 8%. Smelly, tasty, and quite like anything I’ve ever tasted before

Ok smell with a hint of ginger. Wanted it to taste more like ginger beer than it did. More cloudy than I remembered and didn't have as strong of a ginger flavor as I remembered

Honey amber body, thick tan head. High notes of ginger (but of course), toffee, caramel, honey, chocolate. Sizzling, a little pungent, full-bodied. Long finish with the right bitterness. Different and nice.

Bottle 33 cl.
Clear amber, off-white head. Light caramel malt, ginger and cinnamon. Sweet and spicy. First thought was that a 33 cl. should be split three ways, not two as we did. But it grows on you, and I ended up wanting more.

A copper orange coloured beer with a weak white head. A strong gingery aroma, then a fruity hoppiness comes through that leads into a light malty element. Dry mouthfeel. A zesty ginger led taste, the fruity hoppiness enhances the spiciness. Then a syrupy malt flavour comes through that tempers the zesty spiciness. The finish is ginger led and malty.
