A dose of fresh ginger roots added to the brewkettle creates an intriguing mix of ginger, malt-sweetness , and citruslike aromas and flavors Hoppy dryness is very subdued with ginger-sweet-spicey notes dominating throughout to the very finish.

Pretty mediocre amber ale with very light ginger notes in the middle. The base beer is exceedingly boring with just some caramel sweet malts and little else.

Not really any other ginger flavored beers like this. Ginger forefront and center, monolithic, like drinking Sam Adams and chewing on a ginger candy.

Brown with two fingers of head. Yeasty, chocolate, toffee and some spices in nose. In mouth it starts with little bit of ginger, some caramel, spices and some alcoholic warm in the end. A really good beer for a cold winter day. A good surprise!

Bottle sample at a tasting at avrashi’s place. Thanks avrashi. Hazy golden-orange. Spicy aroma with ginger and caramel. Sweetish and spicy flavor with malt, caramel, ginger and a finish with stronger spiciness. Medium-bodied.

330 ml wide brown bottle bb2014-01, gift from Rune, thanks a lot! Good light apricot-coloured head, diminishes to a nice carpet, on the hazy amber slightly red body, with micro-submarines. Lots of herby scents, peaches, hops and malt, ginger, herbs, strawberry, spruce almighty. Fruity taste, hops, roasted malt, barbecue oil, wood, meat. Full bodied. Well balanced. Carbonation suits this beer well. Ends with much of the taste, with some bitter caramels too, and warmth. This was really something more tasteful than all these gingers we can’t rate anyway because they are in fact limonades. Overall; approved and enjoyed.

In 33 ml bottle. Very low carbonation. Very good balance and nice ginger taste. Despite its 8% alcohol you don’t appreciate it. Good beer

Just a plain ginger amber ale, those Japanese should be bigger risk takers,

Pours a rich amber with a beige head that slowly disappears. Not surprisingly it smells like ginger with some malt in there. Tastes like ginger with spice coming through. Also has some sweet taste to it, caramel almost. Interesting beer, the ginger is prominent but not overwhelming. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml bottle. Ginger, spicy, caramel aromas. Pours dark amber with nice tan head, some lacing. Medium body, average carbonation, some crispy texture. Taste is spicy, fresh ginger, malty, caramel. Ginger is well integrated, noticed but not saturating at all. Nice and enjoyable.
