A dose of fresh ginger roots added to the brewkettle creates an intriguing mix of ginger, malt-sweetness , and citruslike aromas and flavors Hoppy dryness is very subdued with ginger-sweet-spicey notes dominating throughout to the very finish.

330ml bottle shared with KnutAlbert. Fine, lasting, white layer atop of a cloudy, amber-orange body. Fragile laceworks. Discreet aroma of ginger and malts. Much more prominent in flavour with its integrated sweet malt-ginger profile, offset by a subdued touch of fruity acidity. Long-lived, rounded aftertaste. Enjoyed in a friendly atmosphere with fellow ratebeerians at Håndverkerstuene, Oslo 19.03.2010.

Bottle thanks to Bu11zeye. Pours a murky orange with off-white head. Aroma has a tart sensation to it with a little light earthiness and a bit of brett. Flavor of ginger, light grain, light malt, a hint of leather with a nice tartness at the end. Mouth feel is light body with a high, fizzy carbonation. Overall, not bad at all!

Large tanned head on a hazy orange body. Good lacing. Hops, ginger. Christmas biscuits and pickled aroma. Flavors are sweet, bitter and alcoholic. Light to medium body. Sticky texture. Some postive memories of Nøgne Ø’s Aku-Aku Lemongrass Ale comes to mind. (33cl bottle at Cardinal Onsdag^2, 17.2.2010)

Bottle. Bit of a gusher, pours a somewhat murky brown with a few grey yeast chunks that settle out to the bottom. Nice clean subtle ginger, malt, a bit sweet. Malty but oxidized, ginger comes through a little bit, subtle, almost a vanilla sweetness. Finishes up with more oxidization, soft ginger, and a touch of bitterness.

12oz bottle courtesy of Bu11zeye. Another Hitachino gusher!! Poured a hazy orange-ish body with a fizzy quickly receding head. Aroma is sour, band aid, medicine and tartness. Flavor mirrors the aroma. Light ginger present. Very active carbonation with a full mouthfeel.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this beer. The beer gushes out the top when opened and then pours a murky orange color with a white head. The aroma is tart lemon with some nice malt and brett character. The flavor is very tart with some brett funk as well as some lemons and oranges. Tart, funky finish. High carbonation and medium mouthfeel.

330 ml bottle. Hazy reddish amber body with a fine off-white head. Aroma is ginger, fruit and flowers. Flavor is sweet malt, distinct ginger, fruit and hops. A nice ginger flavored ale with a crisp ginger flavor, still not to extreme. Not particular complex, quite quaffable and well hidden alcohol.

0.33 L bottle@Håndverkstuene, Oslo. A finger of blond foamy head upon a hazed, dark copper colored body. Perfumed, light soapy aroma of spiced and candied fruits. Quite appealing actually. Ginger is well prononced in the flavor, not predominant though. Medium sweet taste, more fruity than malty. Bon bon fruitiness with a light astringency and restrained gingerized dark malts. Clean on the palate. Crisp finish. Easy drinking for a 7.5% beer.
