3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle poured into large wine glass. Odd colour, very hazy light brown. Very thin, very light brown head. Aroma isn’t that gingery - caramel, spice, some other notes I recognise from another kiuchi beer which was matured in sake barrels. Taste was actively unpleasant when very cold. On warming, became far more pleasant. Ginger began to show through, oddly tasted sweeter. Overall, nice beer.

On bottle from Vinmonopolet Stovner( on order). Golden color, good foam. Aromas of ginger, malt & good fruitiness: medium intensity. Distinct ginger, but not completely overwhelming . Medium body & complexity. Ok balance. Enjoyable

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Awesome brew. As Gingerly as it gets. A remarkable lasting aroma of spices, caramel and, of course, ginger. hazy brown, looks unfiltered almost. Thin but solid head, no lace. Lots of taste of ginger so a bit spicy in the first few sips but then it fades away gradually. By the end the ginger has gone and been replaced by some hoppy malty flavor, sane for the palate. I guess thats why this beer hasn?t better ratings.

Pours dark umber with a large khaki head. Smells mildly spicy with a hint of graininess. Taste is ginger spice and hints of caramel. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and mild mouth-carbonation, Hitachino Nest Real Ginger Brew finishes with a ginger dryness.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured hazy medium amber with a thin off white head. The aroma is of malt and toffee. The flavour is weak bitter with a ginger, rich malt, liqourice, spicy veg palate. Really liked this.
