Malty yep, slightly unusual. Flicker of ginger touched my lips... sounds like a porno starring Mr Beales

Pours a hazy amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes gradually. Strings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of ginger and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of sweet ginger, caramel malt and ripe fruit. The finish is sweet with a ginger aftertaste. Decent overall.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at home. Has a slightly hazy dark amber colour with a big light beige head. Lots of ginger in the aroma along with nutmeg, cloves and pineapple. This is also reflected in a fresh and rich flavour with the addition of lemon. Has a slick mouth feel, and a very light bitterness. A very spicy ale but is balanced. Would be a great Christmas beer.

Aroma: (7- Noteworthy quality) Definitely a ginger emphasis, some citrus, mint as well. Appearance: (4- High quality) Suspended translucent tinted copper pour with a ring of bubbly tan head. Flavor: (8- Very high quality) Big ginger, prickly citrus and a slight mint finale. Palate: (4- High quality) Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, abrupt finish. Overall: I really dug this; a natural complement to sushi, especially Nigiri.

Not my bag really. Really heavy malt with only a fleeting ginger licking at the cusp of my lips. Wife, who I bought it for, declined and made me gulp the lot. Next...

Bottle from Vika enjoyed at home
Dark copper hazy, beige head. Smells of ginger, spices, light malts. Taste is all ginger, a ginger overdose in my book, moderate sweet. The ginger also apply a soapy mouthfeel that is not good. Moderate bitter. Quite strange; a bold brew for sure, but not my glass of beer
