3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Full review with photos and links to other reviews:
Appearance. This beer has a foamy but not frothy yellow-white head and does not leave much foam on the glass. This beer is hazy, which might be expected of an herb/spice beer, and has an amber or dark honey color.
Smell. Real Ginger Brew has a ginger aroma like that of ginger ale or ginger beer, which is a sweet smooth ginger smell. The bouquet is spicy with a bit of cloves and is enhanced by the ginger while accompanied by a light fruitiness.
Taste. The most pronounced taste of this beer is sweet malty ginger. Backing the ginger beer flavor is a sweet maltiness that is complemented with a touch of smooth hop bitterness. As you drink more of this brew the spiciness of the ginger builds but not so much that is it overpowering.
Mouthfee Real Ginger Brew is well carbonated, which adds to the comparison to ginger ale, and is a medium-light bodied beer.
Drinkability. This beer is strong in alcohol content and strong in ginger flavor. On one hand it is crisp and refreshing like a ginger ale but also like a ginger ale I rarely want more than one.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Hazy amber body with low head. Aroma has vegetable character, light spicy ginger notes, earthy. Taste has high ginger bitterness, long lasting, little bit unbalanced for my taste, too much vegetable flavor in there. Medium to high malty sweetness. Body is full, high carbonation.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottled. A dark amber beer with a huge orangey head. The aroma has notes of ginger and fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, over ripe fruits, malt, and ginger, leading to a dry spicy finish. A clone between a Barley Wine and a ginger ale - odd.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours hazy amber-brown. The off-white head is pretty short-lived. The nose includes notes of ginger (duh), maltose, resin, pine, and caramel; the nose is nice overall, but I felt that the notes besides ginger were a little hard to distinguish at first, i.e. the nose is off balance with a bias towards ginger. But I guess it’s intentional. The mouthful opens with malty caramel goodness; the ginger is weaker on the palate than it was on the nose, but seems to complement the resiny, citric, and astringently bitter hops nicely on the mid-palate before the dry-bitter-earthy finish kicks in, leaving a warming glow from the alcohol and spiciness behind. The texture is nice and thick, accompanied by a rather lively carbonation with a soft feel to it. Worth a try.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
2014/07/04 - Pours a cloudy, burnt orange/amber colour with foamy, off white head thy quickly reduces to a lingering surface film. Aroma is lots of ginger, mild caramel and light citrus notes. Taste is similar to nose; lots of ginger, sweet caramel malts and a hint of citrus fruit. Herbal ginger flavors nicely balance with the sweet malts. Mouthfeel is medium and oily with fizzy carbonation and a mildly warming, herbal finish. Interesting brew.
