This Red Rice Ale was brewed with special red rice which had been cultured in ancient times in Japan. Please enjoy the complex taste and beautiful natural color.

Draught red color with a sweet and spicy flavor. Flavor is different than beer brewed with other malts. It has a clear spicy tone to it.

11.2 ounce bottle from Beer Run. Pours a pinkish-amber with a thin off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of yeast, rice, fruity notes, earthy notes. The taste is berries, citrus, rice and a big medicinal note. Medium bodied. Interesting.

5 On pouring, it smells of a sweet bland pale lager. In the glass there’s something a little spicier and menthol-like.
3 Pale cloudy orangy red. Fizzy head disappears instantly.
4 Alcoholic and chemical retronasals primarily. Some strange esters too, but more industrial than fruity. THought it was phenolic briefly, but on reading bullseye’s review I thought it was worth adding the word chloraseptic to mine too - that’s definitely the guy who’s in my beer, much to my chagrin. Classic malt liquor over-the-top chemical metallic hoppy bitterness. Matches he booziness very well.
2 Fairly simple palate, slick from sweetness but also watery and fizzy. So rather like a malt liquor, one might say.
8 Sorry guys, but the emperor has no clothes. This is just a fusel-powered malt liquor with a few quirks. Fortunately, I prefer malt liquors to pale lagers, otherwise this would have scored very badly indeed.

Beautiful Japanese bottle design that looks like an alcopops. The beer is not red in color as you might expect. bland in taste.

This beer needed some time to develop its flavour in the glass. first smell was malts, after some time I noticed a distinct herbal notes like you can find in thyme syrups. It looks pink when pouring, but is peachy orange in the glass. Tasted undefined at first bit sweet bit of malt, but after noticing the smell of herbs I could tasty those same herbs, some flavours I can’t put my finger on. not a bad beer, but wouldn’t buy it again for the price it goes around here.

Bottle. Cloudy orange with a pillowy white head The nose is light, floral with notes of orange, citrus, watermelon, peach. The taste is sweet, light with a mellow somewhat dry finish. The body’s light, a bit slick. Interesting beer.
