jzzbassman (657), New Albany, Mississippi, USA Jul 8, 2008 Poured a salmon pink color. Very weird beer, with a triaminic cough syrup flavor up front that was not as dominant as it warmed. Later, it was more on the finish, but it just was a bit strange for me. okitasan (10), USA Jul 1, 2008 Pinkish red color, with a bitter sakeish taste. The aftertaste is almost plastic or rubbery, if that makes sense. Its interesting, but not really to my taste Pwn3d (575), NYC, New York, USA Jun 23, 2008 Had a small sample of this at Gingerman’s in SoNo, CT. Poured reddish. Flavor almost identical to olives, nothing I picked up in a beer before. iowaherkeye (1360), Back in Iowa City!, Iowa, USA Jun 18, 2008 720mL bottle, no date. Mine isn’t pink at all. Clear light orange with a one finger bone white head, faded to a thick ring. Aroma was actually quite sulfurous--it smells like someone lit a 4th of July smoke bomb in my glass. There is also a bit of sweet rice and skunk. Flavor is pretty tangy with the smoke bombs sticking around. Once they left, it turned fairly sweet until the dry finish. A crazy rollercoaster of flavors, oh my ! Moderate to high carbonation with a light to medium body. On paper (or the screen), this doesn’t seem very good, but actually, I kinda liked it. I think I’ll take a trip back to John’s to take the old-ass 12oz bottles to compare to this one, that I think came in within the last week or two. Ha ha ha! the 1337 rating! dirt55 (41), Washington, USA Jun 4, 2008 bottled, lacking much aroma, pours a nice "grapefruit" red with no head at all, with the color and carbonation looks like a soda, faily clam on the palate nothing heavy, very faint berry flavor noted actually reminds me of red bean paste, clean palate with just a mild lingering of hop bittering, nothing bad...but nothing exciting...pretty even.
