This Red Rice Ale was brewed with special red rice which had been cultured in ancient times in Japan. Please enjoy the complex taste and beautiful natural color. The ale has complex Sake like flavours with a hint of strawberry in the nose and palate.

This beer is interesting. I don’t even think the world has a name for the color it pours. Kind of a cloudy blood-orangey hue. Looks weird. Smells okay, not really pungent. Tastes like... not very obvious flavor, but what the palate does pick up is something I have never tasted before, which is cool. It is bready with a good bitter backbone. Some toffee notes, but not really sweet. Although, pretty subtle, this is kind of a cool, original beer. Worth a go at at least once.

12.09.14 au Hendrix Orléans. Sans réel gout, elle écœure assez rapidement. Niveau nez, elle est très légère.

Dark amber body, off-white head. Aroma is really malty, notes of caramel and fruits. Taste has some roasted malts, bread and rice I guess? Quite weak body, fizzy carbonation.

ASPETTO: ambrato tendente un po’ all’arancione, limpida. Schiuma bianca, fine e decisamente persistente. AROMA: delicato e piacevolissimo.

UPDATED: NOV 3, 2015 On draught at Beer O’Clock, Annecy. Amber with a cream coloured head. Massive piney-resiny aroma. Malt-led taste: sweet and bready with gentle fruit and pine hops bitters get the finish. Tastes less than 7%. While this beer is very good, I do want more from it... am I greedy?
