This Red Rice Ale was brewed with special red rice which had been cultured in ancient times in Japan. Please enjoy the complex taste and beautiful natural color.

This beer is interesting. I don’t even think the world has a name for the color it pours. Kind of a cloudy blood-orangey hue. Looks weird. Smells okay, not really pungent. Tastes like... not very obvious flavor, but what the palate does pick up is something I have never tasted before, which is cool. It is bready with a good bitter backbone. Some toffee notes, but not really sweet. Although, pretty subtle, this is kind of a cool, original beer. Worth a go at at least once.

This has a distinctive color that’s noticeable straight from the pour. Although mostly orange, it has a rosy hue and a foggy, almost infected-like appearance. The nose is really perfumey and almost reminds me of a dentist’s office. I’m leaving it at that. The flavor is. Should I leave it at that, too? The beer is really a culture shock. It’s not bad, but requires a palate adjustment to really appreciate and welcome unbiasedly. It’s hard to describe this beer without a more domestic ingredient to compare it to. It seems very much like a lager, but heavy with vegetable matter. Interesting, and worth the drink if you’re looking for something different.

Hazy brown pour with a hint of amber. Slightly bitter aroma with yeast. Taste also has some bitterness. It’s a bit hollow after the beginning but there’s a faint bubblegum taste in the end. Normal, medium soft mouthfeel, not a lot of carbonation. It’s a little bit uninteresting beer overall.

Pours a hazy golden orange from the bottle with nice cap of white head that leaves good lace. Aroma is soy, rice, nuts, caramel, and odd maltiness. Taste follows, hint of saltiness. Meh, not that great for the price.

Bottle from Melbourne Street Fine Wine Cellars. A type of skunky aroma. Light sweet and sour taste. Not as enjoyable as i thought it would be.

Bottle. Very ripe pruney aroma. Boozy pruney taste - like stouts but much more bright. Interesting but not a repeat.

Hazy amber. Whitish head. Aroma of rice, toast, and berry. Tastes a little sweet, a little spiced, and a little bitter. Light-medium bodied and fairly heavily carbonated.
