Folkstar (6), Redondo Beach, California, USA does not count Apr 21, 2006 2nd best beer in the world. Tis’ a shame that many of you have no taste. ;)
Very unique and bold...but not too bold. Tastes like something I’ve just never had before. Truly makes up for World War 2. I’ve tasted hundreds of craft brews, and this always ends up as number 2. Not bad, considering I’m a very picky baby. sleepingbear (26), Lake Leelanau - Detroit, Michigan, USA Aug 24, 2005 The Bomb.
This full flavored red rice ale has tones of cinnamon candies and maple sugar. with a nice dry finish. Excellent Beer mixamatt (426), San Mateo, California, USA Oct 6, 2002 Golden orange color with fine suspended particles.Quick dissapating head.Mild complex sweet, sour brown and wild rice flavors.Hides the alchohol content extremely well although the label on my bottle read only 7%. bitter (1137), Henderson, Nevada, USA May 3, 2006 now i’m definately the minority here. but i thought this beer was flippn great. the color was reddish orange with an off white pink head...never seen this unless it was a fruit beer. nice fruit enveloped nose of sweetness, rice, plums, and bubblegum with a belgianesque yeast character when the beer is cold as it warms more fruit flavors evolve. nice fruity hopped palate of full bodied feel. this beer is much more complex then the rates suggest for a smaller abv beer and a very atypical beer. what a refreshing find....something completely different from the norm. as VENOM states a humdinger of a love-hate for beer geeks. WhiteAlePower (91), Long Island, New York, USA Feb 4, 2007 I do believe this is nearly a higher score than it deserves. But this was such an outlandish brew. I loved it! So typical to Japanese culture. I would gladly buy a case of this brew!
