3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Good beer, but has a slightly strong middle of rice (duh!). 8.5% ABV is not noticeable at all, and I never would have guessed.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, slightly pinky golden colour with a medium-sized and slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet red berry-fruity aroma with specialty grain character (the red rice ?), notes of caramel and hints of flowery hops. Sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a smooth carbonation. Hearty “malty” base with pronounced fruity (strawberries, rapberries) and lighter flowery notes, far away from being perfumed but really present; sweet and mildly bitter finish with an aftertaste that has some fruit cocktail and yogurt character. Nice brew, something unusual. 01.VII.14

Definitely different; it’s like Sapporo on steroids. Has a very creamy body and strong rice flavor with some clementine. Summer beer.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
An Asian situation. Hazy gold bier with a piece of sediment. Smells like cheap lingerie, apple and wheat. Forward bite with pepper, wheat and yeasty goodness. A good beer for Japan.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cloudy amber/orange with a white head - I can’t really see any pink hues in it. Head quickly disappears. Rich aroma of red berries and flower petals. All manner of things in the taste: red berries , raspberry jam, syrup, cinnamon, ginger, caramel malt. Like beer crossed with caramel spiced latte. Or, jammy sponge pudding soaked in ale.
Odd. Very odd. But in a good way, I think?

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A complex beer and rice aroma and a rich red color. Semi dry yet sweet start to the taste that ends up being over powering sweet in the end.

4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle. This has a flavor that took me a good bit to point down, and I feel like it’s the rice. It’s weird reading the reviews here...none of them really get what I was smelling/tasting. I would say again, the aroma is of slightly burnt rice, with some wheat and citrus, a bit of bubble gum. The taste is citrus overall, with some rice water flavor, a bit of wheat and a slight bit of yeast. I actually really can’t pinpoint exactly what I think of this flavor, or this variety. This is *not* a "traditional ale* whatsoever, whatever that even means. I’ve never had a beer like this, and while I overall think it’s very tasty, it’s impossible for me at this point to compare. Highly recommended.

It pours with a very small head, cloudy dark orange. The aroma is of fruit and mint (does it have added mint leaves?), the taste is sweet, unusual fruit flavour of grapes or berries, opens up as it warms.
