This Red Rice Ale was brewed with special red rice which had been cultured in ancient times in Japan. Please enjoy the complex taste and beautiful natural color. The ale has complex Sake like flavours with a hint of strawberry in the nose and palate.

THOUGHTS: Complex, but in a fairly subtle way. I guess what I’m trying to say is that it had a lot of complexity for a beer that was full of lighter flavors that aren’t necessarily all that complex. Hid alcohol fairly well among such light flavors. I was surprised that it was quite sour. Great balance with sweetness, sourness and acidity. But complex doesn’t always mean great. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a hazy, orangey gold with an average, off-white head that mostly diminished and left good lacing. The aroma had light cereal; moderate fruity, dusty and musty yeast; pear; peach, pineapple; a little flora; lemon; lemon rind; apricot, and slightly sour fruit. The initial flavor was lightly sweet, sour and acidic, and slightly bitter; while the finish was lightly sweet and bitter, and moderately sour and acidic with a surprisingly long duration for all the the light flavors. There was light fruits, light citrus, pear, peach, green grape, lemon, apricot, maybe a little pineapple, a little citrus rind, pineapple near the edge where it is bitter; yeast; sour fruit; a little honey; and duty and musty yeast. The light to medium and dry body was made to feel even lighter by fizzy carbonation and a dry and slightly alcoholic finish.

Courtesy of and shared with ogivlado (thanks!). Murky red body slightly tinged with orange, tiny white head. Sweet, slightly buttery malty aroma, light vitamins. Eh. Not offensive, not great. Odd, really odd taste, strangely sweet, pickles in sugar - for me, the finish is offputting, soft mouthfeel that turns strangely sticky... ugh. Vaguely creamy. Strawberry? Not really. Sake? Dunno, haven’t tried sakes like this. Ok, I’ll admit it’s unique, but this is really, really not appealing for me. Borderline bad.... Love the image, the owl, the experimentation. The beer, for me, sucks.

Tolles Flaschendesign - optisch kein Schaum, trüb, wie Eistee, kaum Perlen. In der Nase leicht malzig. Im Trunk Malz, dann leichte Frucht, Pflaume, bitterer Abgang. Sehr bekömmlich, wenn auch nicht außergewöhnlich.

Piwo bursztynowe. Piana obfita. Średnio i drobnopęcherzykowa. Dość trwała. Lekko lepi szkło. W aromacie cytrusy, owoce, ryż. W smaku ziołowość, ryż. W odczuciu średnie ciao, średnie nagazowanie. Ciekawe, ale zbyt mało się w nim dzieje.

330ml bottle served in a tumbler glass. Pours a clear copper amber red forming a medium and very bubbled white head with low retention and practically no lacings left in the glass. Nose is sweet, fruity and crispy. Strong notes of sweet grains, rice, strawberry and flowery hops. Quite biscuity too. Taste follows the nose: Sweet upfront. Strong notes of sweet malts, caramel malts, strawberry, grassy and citrus hops. Moderate hops bitterness. Medium body. Average carbonation. Sweet malts, rice and grassy hops in the aftertaste. Good drinkability. Not bad.

Flaska east west örebro. Mörkt rosarödbrun i färgen. Söt och bärig doft. I smak känns honung, citrus, och gräs.

Dark amber color with white foam ring. The has a rice-candy-sweetness. The taste has a crisp carbonation with a sweet smooth taste. Smooth sweet aftertaste. This beer is quite good, but a bit weird and not very beer alike.
