3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Beautiful wheat beer. It is more dulled than genuine Hefs and has a bit of a rusted copper or orange hue. Aroma is however more orange than banana. Nose is more Belgian than German. Full bodied. Flavour wise the banana is stunted by a more powerful citrus aspect. Again in this area it reminds me more of a Belgian Witbier than a German Hefeweizen. Its like a blend of the 2 styles. Very good though. It was only a matter of time before Japan made their mark on craft beers. Good beer howver expensive, $13 bomber...

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a cloudy golden yellow, almost looks like a light orange juice and after a couple minutes absolutely no head. Aroma is cloves, fruity(mainly banana) esters, grainy/bready from the wheat and a light citrus character. Flavour is spicy cloves, sweet malt, bready from the wheat, bubble gum and banana notes. Nice creamy mouth feel and a tasty beer overall.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a cloudy medium gold in color with very minimal head. Aroma has moderate clove phenols and nice fruity banana esthers with some wheat. Taste is perdominantly banana flavors with some clove in there too and has a hint of bubblegum on the finish as well. Carbonation gives this beer a nice medium body and a creamy mouth feel. Nice German hefe.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours quite clear with a fizzy white head. Yeast, wheat, some banana. I didnít get any clove but I may have killed my taste buds with the wasabi.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a crystal clear light amber with a glass hugging thin white head. The aroma is of mild banana and a little fruit. The flavour is sharp, crisp, medium bitter with a smooth banana tasting palate. A rather more refined, less "in your face" Weizen. Very drinkable in the Malaysian heat.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cloudy orange with a white head that doesnít last. Aroma of lemon, bread, cloves, banana. Light bodied, carbonation a little low for a hefe. Sweetish Bready, with subdued banana, more cloves, some pepper, a lemony/ wheaty twang, a little bitterness. OK. Probably not at its best - well in date, but only some Germans seem to travel well.

3.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
REALLY was surprised at the quality of hefeweizen that came out of the bottle. Extremely well balanced. Believe it or not, probably one of the best hefeweizens Iíve had to date!

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at home, picked up at Argonaut. Pour is hazy yellow with a small white that quickly dissipated. Clove, banana, light skunk, grass, biscuit, and straw in the aroma. Taste is citrusy, somewhat tangy, banana, clove, a touch of coriander, orange peel, and straw with a crisp. dry finish. Light body with high carbonation. Not bad.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Not sure when this was bottled, says W11.09.
Appearance: The body is slightly cloudy with lots of carbonation and fine particles in suspension. The white head is average sized for a hefeweizen though itís lacking in retention. It settles into a thick coating.
Aroma: The aroma has slightly tart citrus with light banana and a touch of cloves. The aroma is nice, but restrained.
Taste: This is excellent, the taste is a nice blend of bright and slightly tart citrus with banana and a hint of spice. This is very refreshing.
Palate: Light to medium bodied, plenty of carbonation.
Overall: This is a very drinkable and refreshing hefe. I suspect this is an old bottle and I suspect itís even better without the long journey it took to get here. The price is a bit steep but I would like to try other beers by this brewery.
