michael-pollack (1297), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 26, 2008 12oz. Bottle: Aroma is lightly sweet. Smells of light spices, and coriander. Poured yellow in color with a small white head that diminished quickly. Sparkling. Hazy. Flavor is medium sweet. Tastes of lemon, wheat, coriander, and citrus. Like a wheaty Orangina. Medium body. Tingly texture. Lively carbonation. Sweet, tingly finish.
AndrewKScott (221), Lemont, Illinois, USA Jul 7, 2008 Pours the color of a mimosa with a big white head. Nose is orange, grass and a bit of ginger. Taste is orange, balance with the spice. Very good taste for the style. The spices come out a bit in the finish. Mouthfeel is crisp, and nice. Very Good wit, and a nice surprise. JohnQPublic (73), Brooklyn, New York, USA Jul 7, 2008 Bottle. Pours a pale orange (almost the color of watered-down orange juice) with a big white head. Nose is orange, with a bit of wheat and a hint spicy yeast. Taste is clean wheat coupled with a pronounced note of orangey citrus, and a spicey coriander/clove bitterness in the back of the mouth that persists through the finish. Mouthfeel is crisply carbonated, but with an almost creamy body reminiscent of (again) fresh squeezed orange juice. One of a kind beer -- I can’t imagine a more perfect brunch beer. puggy211 (288), cordova, Tennessee, USA Jul 4, 2008 citrusy (orange?) spicy nose with a fluffy ephemeral head. it’s a hazy light gold color with excellent carbonation, and really light in the mouth. sweet and tangy. this is a very original tasting beer; i like it Imaena (145), Portland, Maine, USA Jul 2, 2008 Draught @ GLB 08’.
Citrus, lemon grass, floral, fresh wheat. Good body and mouth feel. Very respectable and refreshing Wit. theisti (953), Leawood, Kansas, USA Jun 16, 2008 11.2 fl oz bottle purchased at Lukas, KCMO. H.7.7 is stamped on the back of the bottle, not sure if that means anything. Pour is hazy yellow golden with a ton of carbonation bubbles and a big, fluffy white head. Aroma of orange peel citrus, orange slices, grain (wheat), and a lemon-lime floral sweetness. Quite a bit going on in the nose. Flavor is tart lemon and orange citrus immediately, followed by wheat and some sour sweetness. The palate is medium, and mouth coating for a Wit. The carbonation that was evident in the pour is not really that pronounced in the taste. The finish is more lime than lemon, but still sweet citrus. Nice refreshing beer.
