Strong aroma of dry fruit, caramel and warming vinous alcohol.Feels a bit spicy yeast as well, rather complex in the nose. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel, lots of dry fruit, spicy and vinous alcohol. Full body and long aftertaste in same style as the flavor with a pleasant sweet alcoholic finish. A really nice one.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
330ml bottle from Brewdog online shop. Pours a hazy amber with a thin white head. Couple of floaters. Big orange aromas, with a fresh and unusual sweet booziness. Taste is pretty full-on. Sweet heat and light bitter with more orange, towards pith. Oily texture, soft carbonation, honey coming through now. Mmm... enjoyed this.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
11.2oz bottle. Pours a cloudy brown color with a creamy light tan fluffy head. Smell is rummy, hot, spicy, yeasty, full of ripe bananas, nectarines, brown sugar, and rum soaked raisins. Taste is tart apples and cherries, smoke and wood tannins, vinous grapes, and herbs. Some sugars and caramel bring sweetness and turn over the flavors toward maltiness midway. As it warms, the sake becomes dominant imparting some harsh alcohol which lasts into the finish. Finish is dry and sour and sticks on the palate for a while. Medium to full bodied with good carbonation.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Bronze and lively upon opening. Some hops and not as powerful as I expected considering its strength. Rather pleasant.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, at Patrick’s. It pours an unclear dark orange to golden body and a minimal sized off-white head leaving curtains. The aroma is lightly oxidized, in a nice way, with citrusy, grassy and peppery hops, toffee malts, some meaty hints and a touch of alcohol. It’s full bodied and warming on the palate, nicely carbonated. Quite complex flavor with a nice bitterness to deal with the sweetness. Caramel, bread, pine cones, grass hints and some oxidation notes. Lasting finish. A quite lovely one, dealing wonderfully with the oxidation, and in general tasting really fine. 130919
