Can in Hongkong. Malty-sweetish, not too deep. Hints of grain, smooth-sweetish. No bitterness. Boring but not too bad.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
500 ml can as “Hite Max” bought at Wellcome Superstore in Sheung Shui.
Clear dull golden yellow colour; Half finger head and soapy white foam which fades in 30 seconds; Small sticky lacing and very slight carbonation;
Light aroma of full malt, with barley grains, faint floral, molasses, dough, hints of lemon and very light grass; Mid to light sweet taste of moderate malt, with fairly light barley grains, strong molasses, light bread, thin floral, very light lemon and shades of grassy hops; Close to light body. Slightly slick palate; Mouth feel is a all-malt macro Pale with moderate maltyness. No adjuncts (good) with light barley grains remains. Strong molasses and quite bready, very low floral and I swear there’s no trace of Cascade hoppiness can be found here. Doh!... Hoppiness is faint floral, hints of lemon and grass notes in nose and taste. Bitterness is macro level, very low for a mostly malty and molasses non-finish; Slightly dry after taste. Very easy to mouth.
Comments: Taste wise, this is at least better than "Hite Beer" because it has no rice or sugar adjuncts. All an all-malt macro Pale, this is fairly hearty and very drinkable, but don’t ask for excitements and the Cascade hops it advertised. It has none!

From a bottle. Not as bad as I’d expected, but I wasn’t expecting much. Malty (surprise) and smooth with medium carbonation, a bland bog standard mass produced lager.

UPDATED: JAN 15, 2015 Boring beer. Light yellow pour, watery taste, very light and dry body. It has unnatural malt aroma and other flavor is lacking. head disappears very quickly.

1.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
355ml can from E-mart in Yeoju, South Korea. Smell ain’t great. A bit of corn husk but mostly nothing- maybe we give it "nutty" to be nice. Looks are not impressive - head just wisps away- no "champagne" bubbles, nothing! BUT the flavor is a suprise - not bad! my favorite of the Korean "Hite" beers - good malt hit but still lite and dry and no bad after taste - in fact tasting pretty clean. It’s my "go-to-Korean" beer!!
