Soapy corn in taste, doesnít quite live up to the quote on the label of "The climax of rich taste."

500ml can. Pours clear yellow with a soapy white head. Grainy and lemony aroma, and for some reason I can smell cream soda too. Taste is sweet malts and lemons. Didnít catch the cascade hops.

Jasnozłote piwo o puszystej ale szybko znikającej pianie i słodowym zapachu. W smaku lekko wodniste i bez wyrazu, słodowe.

ALLOVATE (2771) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUL 19, 2015
Light lemon, light cardboard, light urinal cake, light grain and straw on the nose - thankfully light! Brilliant, translucent yellow gold with an engineered white foam atop that daubs the glass well. On the palate it exudes a little Cascade citrus to its credit. Drabby, soapy finish with little by way of peak. Light bodied. Not much malt also. Rather bland but didnít expect much. (35,5cL can, BB 11/03/16, The Good Food & Wine Show, Perth)

355ml can into glass. Nose is sweet sweet corn. Pours pale yellow with soapy white head. A few bubbles. A little zing on the tongue, a hint of lemon and thatís it. Maybe a bit of lingering sherbet. Not horrible.

On tap at NaruOne Korean fried chicken, Sydney. Light in colour, body, flavour, and alcohol. Malty sweetness up front - not in a good way - little bitterness on the finish. Yes, itís crap, but itís great for washing down Korean fried chicken.

Can in Hongkong. Malty-sweetish, not too deep. Hints of grain, smooth-sweetish. No bitterness. Boring but not too bad.

500 ml can as ďHite MaxĒ bought at Wellcome Superstore in Sheung Shui.

Clear dull golden yellow colour; Half finger head and soapy white foam which fades in 30 seconds; Small sticky lacing and very slight carbonation; Light aroma of full malt, with barley grains, faint floral, molasses, dough, hints of lemon and very light grass; Mid to light sweet taste of moderate malt, with fairly light barley grains, strong molasses, light bread, thin floral, very light lemon and shades of grassy hops; Close to light body. Slightly slick palate; Mouth feel is a all-malt macro Pale with moderate maltyness. No adjuncts (good) with light barley grains remains. Strong molasses and quite bready, very low floral and I swear thereís no trace of Cascade hoppiness can be found here. Doh!... Hoppiness is faint floral, hints of lemon and grass notes in nose and taste. Bitterness is macro level, very low for a mostly malty and molasses non-finish; Slightly dry after taste. Very easy to mouth.

Comments: Taste wise, this is at least better than "Hite Beer" because it has no rice or sugar adjuncts. All an all-malt macro Pale, this is fairly hearty and very drinkable, but donít ask for excitements and the Cascade hops it advertised. It has none!
