Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass: Medium sized white foamy head on top of a clear yellow colored beer. Aromas of lemon, flowers, soap, light citrus, some hops, herbs, malts and herbs. Flavours of hops, wheat, malts, toast, citrus, some lemon, light dry, some vanilla and peach, bitter. Very nice! Aftertaste is bitter, hoppy, malty, herbal and citrus with a light toasty edge. Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied and a creamy texture.

Cask sampled at ACAT, 2014. Pours hazy yellow, with a small, bubbly, white head. Aromas of bread yeast, caramel, grapefruit, and tangerines. Low bitterness, mellow sweetness, and significant yeast flavors. Light body, smooth, low carbonation. This is a delicious, easy-drinking beer. Nothing special, but just well-made, quaffable, and simple. I could drink several pints of this.

Bottle conditioned. Hazy amber beer with small head and a touch of lacing. Aroma of bread and citrus. Taste is citrus, yeast and mild bitter hops. Medium bodied. Well after a day decorating in the hot sun, this was very refreshing drink. I enjoyed it.

Bottle from Vaaland, Bryne. Pours cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma of nutty and bready malts, citrus as well. Taste is mild, earthy malts, very shy hops, crisp citrus, lively carbonated, light body, mild sugar and sharp citrussy at the short finish.

Sigmund (4820) - Tau, NORWAY - APR 14, 2013
500 ml bottle conditioned, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.2%. Golden colour, slightly hazy when the yeast is poured in, moderate white head. Aroma of hay, mild herbal spices, chocolate and dust, hints of smoke. The flavour has a mild fruity acidity, followed by chocolate, smoke and moderate hops. Apparently they have used some pale chocolate malt and a little smoked malt here. The smoke is probably there to celebrate the Severn Valley Railway. An unusual bitter, but not bad.

Pours a copper colour with a small white head. Smokey aroma. Flavour is some smoke and sourness. Has a bit bitterness in the aftertaste. A bit watery mouthfeel. Quite boring beer.
