Just glorious. Beautifully dark, though not the jet black I like my mild to be. Great flavour, not overly rich, but plenty of chocolate maltiness coming through. Eminently drinkable and tastes much stronger then the 3.2% a.b.v. An abolute classic English mild and definitely worthy of its CBOB prize. Ethereal (1726), London, Greater London, England

Mid brown with a superb complex malt aroma. The low strength gives the flavours room to breathe and flourish. Coffee & caramel malt in abundance and a lovely smooth finish. I could instantly see why it landed the Supreme Champion Beer of Britain award in 2007. dnas2 (656), Yelverton, Devon., Devon, England
