Bottle Conditioned, special;
Rich ruby porter. "Postman’s Knock is a beer offering an intelligent blend of complex ingredients, the rich brown beer with a smooth fine head has a very chocolately character. The combination of subtle flavour notes of vanilla, treacle and roast malt gives an initial rich sweetness leading to a velvety chocolate finish."

Bottle. Dark reddish brown. Malt aroma. Taste is of malts and dark chocolate. Medium bodied. Not one of the best porters, just average.

Fruity brew with a fair bit of sour berries in the mix. Otherwise mild and easy to down.

500 ml bottle. Pours a mahogany brown color with a small creamy beige head. Faint cocoa malt nose. Flavor upfront is bittersweet cocoa and roasted malt. Light bodied for a Porter. Notes of currants and floral hops in midtaste. Finishes with more chocolate and bitter hops.

50cl bottle pours a watery brown with some slim, off white head. Nose has some brown sugar, but mostly root beer, some malt, a little faint licorice. Flavor has the same, bland licorice, brown sugar, some cream soda, root beer, mild yeast. Watery finish. No thanks.

Bottle (5.1%, Postman’s Knock #3 English Dark Ale, described as a Mild Ale on the back, BB Aug 22, 2015). Head is initially average sized, frothy, light brown, mostly lasting. Body is medium to dark brown. Aroma is moderately malty (roasted nuts, toasted grain), with notes of apple skin, plum, marshmallow. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, unclean. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively/soft carbonation. The aroma is not without some intrigue, and it doesn’t quite prepare you for the fact that it’s very sour, with an unpleasant finish. The sourness may be as designed, but it sure seems like spoiled fruit juice to me. Very watery and thin as well. A drain pour.

Korol rubinowy? no jak dla mnie to czerń. Piana opada, trochę zbyt szybko, małe ślady zostawiając. Zapach trochę czekoladowy i taki ostry. Karbonacja średnia, ciało małe jak na porter. Brak uczucia ciężkości. Finisz krótki. troszę alkoholowy posmak oraz słodki. Przyjemne dobre piwo ale nic szczególnego. Spodziewałem się więcej ciała. Aczkolwiek jest ok.
