Bottle Conditioned, special;
Rich ruby porter. "Postman’s Knock is a beer offering an intelligent blend of complex ingredients, the rich brown beer with a smooth fine head has a very chocolately character. The combination of subtle flavour notes of vanilla, treacle and roast malt gives an initial rich sweetness leading to a velvety chocolate finish."

Bottle. Dark reddish brown. Malt aroma. Taste is of malts and dark chocolate. Medium bodied. Not one of the best porters, just average.

Pours up a hazy dark amber brown, and a thick off-white head. Aroma is caramel, dark fruits and slightly spicy. Flavor is sweet, slightly spicy bitter. Medium body. Has a weird aftertaste.

Butekja 500ml. Ciemby kolor mahoniowy z rubinowym refleksem. Piana palona mala szybko zanika. W zapachu palone slody kawa karmel lecz bardzo umiarkowane. Wodniste. W smaku palone slody lekka ziarnistosc karmel kawa. Trudno orzec czy to niedorobiony porter czy przepalone i za slodkie bitter.

Clear dark red beer with an off-white head and a malty fruit aroma. Flavour follows the same pattern. Sharp on the tongue with fruit (maybe apple with some berry-type flavours) and a bit of hearty malt. Aftertaste is a touch watery but it’s thoroughly drinkiable.

Bottle shared by Theydon_Bois in our hotel room over RBWG. Thanks, Cloin, for making our dude-infested love nest a little more special! This beer is from a town called Cleobury Mortimer, which is fucking hilarious to me. Pours a cloudy reddish orange with a medium off-white head that settles into a ring while lacing the glass. Toasted malts, with leaves, muddled fruits, and dry grains. Light-medium bodied, with medium-high carbonation and a malty, bland mouthfeel.

Bottle, thanks Cloin. Almost clear copper liquid with small to medium light tan head. Aroma of apples, raw sugar, raisins, caramel, toffee and grain. Taste is light sweet, light bitter and light sour with notes of raisins, lemon and apples. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Meh. Probably infected.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Max’ place. Thanks grumbo for the trade. Clear dark brown with a beige head. Bready aroma with a little chocolate and slightly toasted notes. Sweet and toasty taste, very soft bitterness, a little nutty. Soft texture, nutty finish, medium body. Nice.

500ml bottle. 2001 vintage (!). Pours hazy dark brown, minimal head. Not as much cobwebs as expected. Some fruitcake. Light toffee. Not sure this has benefited from 14 years in a cellar.
