COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Also available bottle conditioned.
An elegant, straw coloured bitter. The hint of sweetness is complemented by subtle hop flavours, leading to a dry finish. Brewed using Maris Otter pale Ale malt, Hobson's yeast and finished with Worcestershire Goldings and Herefordshire Progress hops.

500ml conditioned bottle. Poured golden/light brown with a small whire head. Aroma was citrus & hops. Quite a bitter swallow with some malt but mainly hops dominating. A most pleasant beer.

Bottle from Oddbins, Worcester 08-03-08 A tasty bitter beer with some lemonyness on the nose. Quite tangy this beer pours a hazy golden colour with a white head, the bitterness sit’s on the tongue and roof of the mouth, very likeable.

Faint but fine aroma, clear hay´is color, fine use of hop´s, just right for the tast of malt´s.

Draught Pints at Drum and Monkey (Nr Solihull UK) and The Coach and Horses in Weatheroak. Slightly earthy aroma and deeper golden appearance than Hobson Best. Flavour similar to Best but a little more malty and longer lasting. Slightly bitter after-taste but more of a rounded Pint than Hobson Best.

[Odense-tasting at Scheffel. Bottle from Christian.] Notes of weak fruity aroma, flat carbonation, some hops and an impression of somewhat mainstream!

Bottled. Hazy golden with a small white head. Malty and fruity aroma with some peach. Dry malty flavour, slightly sour, lasting malt aftertaste.

Bottle: Unclear yellow with a bubbly white head. Grassy Citrus/malty aroma. Low carbonation. Rather soft texture. Nice lacings & some good solid hops in the taste. Very simple, not bad, not really good either. OK

Bottle @ ChristianScheffel tasting. [thank you, Christian]
Pours a pale golden with little head. Aroma is mild, slightly woody and grassy. A bit thin. Flavour is limited as well, some dry bitterness creeps in along the malty sweetness, but nothing exciting...

Cask@GBBF2007. Golden colour, not much head. Aroma is wood, slight nectar and some earth. Flavour is quite papery bitter with some hints of fruits. Leaves a tickling feeling on the tongue. Not the most exciting brew I have had.
