A - full molases and caramel nose A - lives up to it’s own press...liquid midnight F - Flavor is a bit thin, not as smokey as I would have liked. The finish is of a sherry cask. P - smooth, but a bit thin. O - It is alright, but not elite.

it pours dark dark reddish brown with a small head that fades away, it smells like espresso beans, tastes like sweet espresso, a little coconut, some bar milk chocolate, its a tiny bit poppy, feels a bit weak in the mouth, better than i thought it would be and worth trying once out of ontario beer and liquor stores ridiculously small stout selection.

Poured from can. Poured a very dark brown/black with a decent head which disappeared quickly. A full coffee smell and flavor with a definite dark chocolate flavor as well. Good mouthfeel. Very good overall.

473ml Can thanks to trade with matt7215. Thanks Matt! Pours a Solid black with no light showing through. The head is tan coloured and short lived. The aroma is sweet for a stout. Milk chocolate caramel, coffee, roasted malt, and vanilla on the nose. The taste is roasty and sweet. Milk chocolate, dark fruit, coffee, caramel, vanilla, and a long roasty finish. Mouth feel is decent. Definitely a decent session beer.

Dark black beer with a thin tan head. The nose is lightly toasty with a kiss of light cocoa. A bi tof light roasted malt over a kiss of sweeter base malt. There is a little touch of caramel in the middle along with the light cocoaish roastiness on the back. It’s a simple stout, but it’s a vast improvement from the last dark ale I had from these guys.

Can from LCBO (Toronto, ON). Pours a dark brown to black color with one finger off-white head that settles slowly. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of chocolate, ripe dark fruit, funk, some hints of caramel, wheat, yeast. Flavor is sweet and malty with notes of light roast, chocolate, light caramel and earthy funk. Generally medium body with a light roasted finish.

I guess you can get a good stout in a can...but this aint one of them. Aroma of over-burnt malt. Pours opaque black, thin head. Over roasted malt with an off-putting sour finish. If i left coffee in the basement to ferment it would probably turn out better than this.

Thanks? kiefdog for the share. Pours like liquid midnight during the northern lights with lots of planes flying around. Head is a nice mother-of-pearl color. Nose is nothing to write home about- roast, some thin coffee, and lager. Flavor is about the same. Unremarkable, but I guess if I’m hard up for a stout...
