473ml can. This beer is deep brown, near to black with a half inch, disappearing head. The aroma is very smokey with some molasses. I taste more smoke, light coffee, water. The mouthfeel is watery.

Tasted 1/10/09. 473ml Can. Pitch and brown hued. Moderate ring of beige head. Aromas of dark chocolate and cola. Touch coffee. Medium bodied with a nice effervescence. Smokey malts. Sticky with a cocoa and buttery note. Meh...

canette, version à 4,2% bière noire, mousse brune, sucrée, finale de pomme verte, manque de torréfaction, manque de caractère.

(can) deep black with dark tan head. Aroma of coffee. Flavor is coffee, roast malt. Body is a tad thin. Dry finish.

Dark brown. Fudgey aroma with light nuts and soft chocolate. Fairly smokey, fudgey body. Smooth and drinkable, though it finishes with a hint of acetaldehyde.

Opaque black, tan head. Velveteen appearance. Dry, relatively simple soya-like aroma. Smells like rain hitting asphalt too. Thin, quaffable, silky mouthfeel. Nice dryness. Some smokiness. Thin and simple but not bad.

500ml can: Black with small creamy head that dissipates quickly. weak herbal aromas of roasted malt. Taste is veggie-like with some coffee. Way too thin.

decent stout, pours black with modest tan head which dissipates quickly. dark roasted coffee on the aroma which also translates into the taste. Fits the bill as a dry stout, minimal sweetness, flavour not overly complex but is good. My main knock against this beer is the mouthfeel. It is very thin and watery. No creamimess which would have made a big difference.
