Sammy (3934), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Dec 8, 2007 like drinking coffee that got cold. Not horrible coffee, but just another thin and dry stout. Two cups are OK but a litre flip top? Not complex, a passable beer. A bit of roast barley, a dark brown colour and a bubbling transparent amount of head. robinvboyer (1419), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Dec 2, 2007 Nice roasty chocolate/coffee aroma. Flavour is sweet, and creamy. Tastes of chocolate, coffee, and a touch of fruit. Very smooth, with a touch of bitterness in the finish. Great stuff. beerbuzzmontreal (2909), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Oct 17, 2007 Pours a black color with a thin beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, mint and vinyl. Flavor of roasted malt, vegetables and some minty freshness. The body is light with moderate carbonation. Bobsy (194), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 29, 2007 Sampled at The C’est What? Fall Festival of Beers. Looks great - very dark body, with an effusive tan head - full marks for that. Aroma was very faint, but hinted at dryness. Flavour was pretty bland and run of the mill, with no real distinguishing features. Palate was also fairly undistinguished and average. After the appearance it was very disappointing, but not offensive. radiomgb (1921), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Sep 9, 2007 Deep brown in colour, large brown coloured head, light lacing. The aroma is very light, lightly acidic, grainy with some faint chocolate powder. The flavour is thin, dusty, some light roast, very light alround, not much in the line of flavour. Light mouthfeel, light body, medium/high carbonation. Finishes quick with some sourness. Not great, I just wish that this wasn’t in a 1L bottle. I hope that not all bottles are like this but at this price I’m not going to find out. A drain pour.

DougShoemaker (2855), Toronto, Canada Aug 28, 2007 Soft, sweet, smokey malt, dark brown, pours a firm tan head. Taste is a bittersweet malt, light bodied, sweet, bitter and drying. Average. Viper666 (614), Greenfield Park, Quebec, Canada Aug 27, 2007 Bouteille 1L (LCBO). Opaque black body is topped by a decent fine bubbled tan head that recedes to a lasting cover with some lacing. Vegetal flavour with plastic phenols that overshadow the dark malts. Honey sweetness in the aftertaste. Medium light body is very dry with pleasant and lasting effervescence. Bacterial infection perhaps? Bottle sampled with Altair, beerbuzzmontreal, Cathschlag, Glouglouburp, Goldorak, MartinT, muzzlehatch and Yowie.
