2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Meh - English beers are generally not to my liking, so this review is definitely from that angle. Tastes like a brown ale, with a little more bite and a little more fizz on the palate. Not bad - too sweet for me - but I could drink one. Almost not hops, which is what I’m missing the most.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
1L bottle with ceramic swivel top from LCBO. Pours a good size frothy beige head and has a dark amber brownish appearance. Pretty decent lacing. Aromas of roasted malt, hints of vanilla, mocha and coffee. Flavours are pretty sweet and chocolatey. Lots of roasted malt and coffee notes as well as cocoa. Nice sweetness lingers on the palate. Good retention.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Can from the LCBO. Poured into a pint glass, deep brown ale with reddish highlights around the edge of the glass. 1cm beige head that disappeared quickly. Aromas of molasses, chocolate and leather, with some ripe dark fruit in there as well. Floral hoppiness, not too pronounced. Sweet and nutty. Thin and slick on the palate, lightly carbonated. Warm alcohol finish, but not too powerful. Nothing that really wows, but eminently drinkable. I could session this one easily.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
473ml can. A "dark" ale, has the same marmite-like english yeast character of the 3 beers in their mix pack, maybe the most palatable of the 3 along with the golden, still nothing notable.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
473 mL can. Pours moderate to dark brown with a thin cap of white head. Nose is leathery cocoa, sweet malt, nut and dark bread. Mildly herbal. Light sweetness followed up with a touch of roast and mild hop bitterness. Light bodied with modest carbonation. A nice brown.

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours caramel brown with a light, dissipating beige head. Aroma of molasses, malts, sweet breads, and subtle vanilla on the nose. Flavour has more molasses upfront with hints of candied sugar, hay, raisin. Light bodied and mildly carbonated. Finishes clean with a pleasant lingering hoppiness. A nice go-to dark ale.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can’t beleive I never rated this one before. Brownish pour with a fast head. Molasses and caramel aroma with a hint of sweet vanilla. Medium body a tad sweeter than expected and has a sort of light vanilla cake or vanilla cola profile. Not as bad as I thought this would be. Light and thin on texture and lasting power. P

Tangy, effervescent and sweet, dark Amber brown with barely any head. Quite a taste of candy sugar.
