33cl can from a kiosk. Pours hazy golden with a decent white head. Very grainy aroma with just hints of citrus and spices. Feels more like some flour poured into a glass of sparkeling mineral water than beer. Too grainy and unbalanced for my taste. Drinkable, but I would prefer mineral water I think

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
CAN 33CL. Toasted wheat aroma, bready, some lemon zest, coriander - almost like the real thing. But unlike it, the 0,0 has not got that fruity fresh edge. Unfortunately, it also has a smelly cheap hot-dog off-flavour. And if the aroma is more or less decent, the flavour is a big let-down: very watery, sweetish/sugary with artificial citrus notes, grainy/ unfermented wort and CO2 - hardly a beer. Bad, but not terrible.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Leuchtend strohgelb mit feiner Schaumkrone. Frischer Geruch nach Zitrone, Orange, etwas Hefe und Weizen. Geschmack: Süß, fast eine Limonade. Die Orange dominiert. Man spürt den zugesetzten Zucker und Apfel. Gute alkoholfreie Erfrischung.

2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
UPDATED: JAN 14, 2015 Alcohol-free variation on Hoegaarden Witbier since 2011 with the basic ingredients of a witbier plus citrus extracts. Thin white head, colour yellow blonde, light hazy with fierce sparkling. Citrussy aroma, artificial, lemonade, wheat and coriander, apple juice, honey. Sweet lemonade-like taste, industrial lemon juice, bit wheaty, more ’beery’ than usual in this style, thin and watery still, with light sourish freshness. More a soda pop than a beer but I had many worse alcohol-free beers. Nevertheless I am glad to read in the newspapers that it did not deliver the commercial success AB InBev had hoped for.

25/VII/13 - 33cl can @ my parents’ place - BB: 27/V/14 (2013-666) Thanks to my dad for splitting this, would’ve been a waste if I opened one just for myself ;-)
Little cloudy orange to pale beige beer, small fizzy white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: typical Hoegaarden smell, lots of coriander, wheat touch, grains, bit of citrus peel, some oranges. MF: soft carbon, light body. Taste: sweet sugary start, bit of grains, sourish, lemony touch, slightly bitter. Aftertaste: lots of coriander, spicy, still sugary, lemony touch.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle of 300 ml @ home. The bottle has a yellowish label, so I thought at first that it was an alcohol free version of the Hoegaarden Citron. Anyway. Poured into a weizen glass.
Colour is lile the original’s Hoegaarden, camomile like, only less hazy and actually semi-transparent. Head is creamy with a white colour, two fingers in height, very quickly becoming just half a finger. There, it stays for quite long. Activity in the glass is a average.
Aroma is quite similar to the original Goegaarden, with citrus fruits, only much stronger lemon aroma, and sort of artificial too.
Taste is mostly of lemons and a corn syrup aftertaste left behind. Not so strong as with other alcohol free beers though and at least it doesn’t linger that long in your mouth.
Thin on the body as expected and light carbonation.
Overall a nice alcohol free beer, for those times you’re not allowed to have a normal beer.
