Quite nice. Aroma is very yeasty with considerable fruit. Flavor has a touch of alcohol, and more yeast, with fruit and very sweet malt. A beer with some complexity. Gold color and moderate carbonation.

Nice hazy gold colored body with faint head. Malty nose. Wheat body with faint yeast bit.

Pours cloudy yellow with white, creamy head. Aroma is slightly sour/citrusy, quite spicy with some orange peel. Flavor is quite smooth, lightly spicy somewhat banana-y on the finish. The flavor difference from regular Hoegaarden is the fairly prominent alcohol, a smoother flavor and stronger spiciness. Heavier fruitiness. Quite a nice beer. Labeled on the Japanese bottle as "happoshu", which is kind of strange...

Bottle. During my trip between Brussels and London. Nice beer. Dark yellow color, very nice fluffy white head. It’s some crazy, the aroma is identical the flavor!! The alcohol is percepted, and I really knowm because I drink a Duvel after that and I start a War in the train with a little kid backing from Euro Disney. hehehehe... Cerveja amarela escura com uma espuma densa. Interessante é que o aroma é o mesmo que o sabor, algo doce e amargo, o alcóol é notado fielmente.

The version that was brewed by hoegaarden was much better. The beers of inbev in belgium are getting more useal in taste. They change ingredients so they can earn more money. Almost every beer they brew is loosing the good tast and the full bodie, that this beer had in earlier version. So i try other breweries

Bottle, pours golden orange with a good head and has the cloudy Hoegaarden trademark with flecks of yeast. A citrus-malt-barley aroma with a hint of caramel. Tastes just as wonderful as it looks and smells, fruity-malty with even a pear like aftertaste, such a nice beer be wary of its 8.7% alcohol content. All in all an outstanding beer.

Lys øl, med kraftig frugtagtig og sødlig duft. Smagen er som en blond, dog mere fyldig og gøret. Alcohollen opdages ikke p.g.a. den søde smag. Meget frisk i smagen.

(330mL bottle, BB 12/01/09): Pours a huge head, big bubbles, fizzy, lasting and decent lacing. Body is clear/cloudy-ish golden yellow. Strong flowery aroma, sweet and almost caustic? Sweet taste, flowery, light mouthfeel, somewhat bitter aftertaste, but then sweet. That bitter and caustic flavor/aroma might be from the alcohol bite. Not too strong or thick, like usual belgian strong ales I’ve had. Light and tasty. Kinda like a stronger version of the original.
