It is a nice beer. The foam is weak and white. The color is like a hefe-weizen brown-orange. The taste in the mouth is pleasant malty with maybe some wheat and a banana side. The taste is a bit like a franziskaner hefe-weizen, there is some coriandre and something like ginger bread.

Bottle at home. Poors slightly hazy dark blonde with white head. Lots of cloves, yeast, gumball coatings. Overall sweet, with hoppy bitter finish. Body is quite full. Taste is average Belgian, not really interesting but not bad either.

Pours a hazy darkish-gold with a nice creamy finger of head. Aroma is a mix of wheat of herbal qualities, some orange coming though, spices. A malty wheats flavour with hints of fruit, spice, some sugar sweetness, a little alcohol at the end. The body is quite full, a lingering mix of flavours, with a notable fizz and bitter finish, accentuated by spice. Lovely.

UPDATED: JAN 19, 2016 0,33 bottle. Long lasting but small white head. Aroma: little, citrus and sweetnes. Taste: Now that is a different cup of tea. Almost like witbier but suddenly a lot of sweetnes, citrus, herbs. Medium body and carbonization. Sweet happiness and some bitterness in the finish. One of my favourite beers.

Clear golden liquid, with little bits at the bottom. Average head. Fruity aroma of hops. Light body, average carbonation. Taste is bitter and a bit sweet.

0.33 l bottle from Firma Bier. Golden-orange color with frothy head. The aromas of herbal orange peel and restrained clovey spiciness. Sweetish orangey taste with herbal and peppery notes. The alcohol warmth is firm yet soft. Slightly dryer finish with bitter orange aftertaste. There is musty yeast taste in the background, I’m not sure whether it is part of the character or an sign of a bottle past its prime. Still, fairly good beer with powerful warmth and a pleasant herbal-orangey-bitter character.

Wow! Nice orange color, thin white head. Aroma is full of spice, orange, cloves and yeast. Taste is full mouth, high carbonation with malts, spices and little bit acid. Very complex beer and balanced. Nice beer!

Loved this beer. What is interesting is that I find a bit of eucaliptus in the nose and flavor. Also pronounced 4-vinyl guaiacol (clove), caramel. It reminds me a bit on Kwak in caramel notes. Not overly sweet, just right. Great, interesting beer.

Robe blonde, mousse peu abondante. Nez sur les agrumes, la levure, le houblon, le malt, pointe de farine. Bouche à l’attaque fraîche, fruitée, une note acidulée, et une finale amère et équilibrée. Une bière classique, bien équilibrée, agréable.

citric fruits, belgian spices, yeast, very subtle wheat underlay. really enjoyed this hoegaarden, found it very smooth for the 8.5% ABV, great mouthfeel, would gladly drink again
